I have the same issue with my BMW tps. I haven't tried a shielded wire. But it sounds like I won't bother.

With TPS dot, every once in a while it'll see a spike in throttle position, and dump fuel for accel enrichments, and I get a huge buck, cause I'm steady state cruising.

Yea, it's kind of frustrating not being able to find out the issue here.

Any suggestions from anyone?

If you look in my thread several pages ago, you'll see my address this issue. I had tons of noise as well until I ran new wires back to the TPS signal pin, 5v TPS power, and a sensor ground. Solid as a rock with no variation.

Took a look at your thread. I'll have to get in there and see how mine is compared to yours when I get a chance again.

Got Launch Control setup today. Might be going to the drag strip this coming Saturday so figured it'd be something to play with at the track.

Also raced a MK4 Supra today on the highway. Don't really have details on his car other than its slower than a Miata. Can't figure out how to embed because it was shared by his passenger and they posted it on Facebook instead of YouTube. It also appears to have been filmed with a potato.

Picture because I found it while looking through pictures of a decent sized car meet we had today. LS swapped FD in the background. And I should probably wash my car once in a while.

Awesome picture with the FD in the background. Man, mazda cars of that era were so sexy and curvy.

I'll be at Milan Wednesday.

Hopefully not destroying my 5 speed...

Good luck at the track.

Wasn't able to get the day off work for this Saturday. Looks like I'll have to wait to see what the car can do this year. Oh well, maybe my transmission will last a little longer this way.

I finally washed my car for the first time since last fall so I took a few pics. Finally some pics with the exhaust installed in daylight.

I also graduated from University today so I did a little celebratory burnout. And by little, I mean I need new tires again. These lasted less than 4 weeks lol

I love the car and the new ride height/wheels. propz. That exhaust is pretty hideous though imo

I kind of like the exhaust personally. It is just a hint of rice, but not to much, and in a tasteful manner.

I now have the vented block mod.

Brought the car out for the first time in a couple weeks and a guy at work didn't believe a miata could be as quick as I said. Took him for a ride, after blowing his mind about how quick a gay *** miata with a little 4-banger could be I showed him just how broken one could be too lol.

Will get pics up tomorrow or something when I pull the motor.

@Fab9 - I may be in touch soon!

I would like to if I can find a core to tear down. Problem is I just finished paying off my school loans and got switched to full time at work so this happened like 4 weeks before I was ready for it to happen and would have been able to get parts right away. Now I'm stuck waiting.

That's rough man. I've been there a handful of times.

Let me know what your plans are - I also have a block or two laying around. I'm in the middle of 3 customer engines (built long blocks). I'm sure I can save you on machine work too, when the time comes.

Post pictures naow.

I know if he can't hook you up ^ i can hook you up with the guy that did the engine work for me.

I know he's almost set up to CnC our heads. He just CnCd a head for a buddy of mine. Plus any kind of other engine work you want done.

Well after a weekend of drinking my sorrows away and thinking about what i want to do with the car I still haven't come to a final decision lol. I've been planning out a build for this car for the past few months that I wanted to do over this winter but I might leave the car off the road for the next while now and just start that build now, at a much slower pace.

Unless I find a cheap, good condition, ready to drop in 1.8. Otherwise I want to just take the time to build the entire drivetrain to as close to bulletproof as possible. I'm sick of transmissions, diffs, motors blowing up every few weeks and I don't want to turn down the boost.

Anyways, here are some pics. I'll get better carnage pics when the motor is on its way out.

Where it happened, you can see where it goes from happiness to sadness very quickly:

The all to familiar picture of my car on a flatbed:

First look underneath I saw this. Yup, that's my starter! It's now in a few different pieces after getting hit by the internals flying out of my block

The little hole on the passenger side:

What was left of my starter

The bigger hole on the driver's side, will get better pics after the motor is out of this one:

Motor will either come out by Tuesday or in a month from now when I'm recovered from surgery that is coming up this Wednesday.

FMII kit, 5speed, torsen diff, etc, etc will likely be posted up for sale around the same time.

I'm impressed i have never seen a starter blow up before. Out of curiosity do you know how much power you were putting through it. In for built motor glory

I don't know. It never went on a dyno. I was running 13-14 psi on an FMII kit with a 2560. I always guessed around 220-230whp but again i don't know for sure. Plan was to have it on the dyno in about a month but that obviously isn't happening now.
