Looks pretty meticulous. I admire the patience you have.
The 2x4 is to hold the rocket launcher.

The kick up on the rear fender is to create a low pressure behind it. There will be holes behind it and right down the the rest of it like the panspeed car i posted.

Specs on rocket launcher! Ive been thinking about this mod my self. I have not seen anything against it in the miata challenge rules and until I can drive like Sav it would seem my best chance of winning.

There is a slight problem with the rocket launcher. You have to be in front of sav before it will work. You could try driving real slow and when he comes up to lap you BAM.

No, but once it is all done i will have the little go pro cameras set up and do some on track wool tuft testing to see the laminar flow, etc.

You plan to adjust the design based on tuft testing after its already built?

More so just to check it, and if it is no good i will look at modifying it.

Lol. Just lol. Do all this 'aero' work without checking the actual effects and then admit you don't plan on making it efficient after the fact either...

I'm pretty sure when he says 'done' he means pre-mold/pre-finish panels. I could be wrong though.

You can test something which doesn't exist unless you have a CAD model, however, that takes equal amounts of effort - just less messy.

It's good you guys have some input about the bodywork. I don't have any data or have access to wind tunnels or any software, i am going off what i have seen on other cars, what i have read, and what i feel will work. The car is also going to be my promotion tool for my business making carbon fibre parts. I don't profess to be an expert in aero, and i am not going to be telling anyone this is how it should be done. I will be happy if it works well, if not i will see how i can improve it. I can't see it can be too bad when all done with splitter/diffusers, flat floor, fastback, etc. The basic idea is to control flow. I took the idea from the panspeed rx7 for the rear fenders and the j's racing S2000 front fenders.

My thoughts exactly. Holding final judgment til final pics are available. It can go either way now. The amount of work and speed at which it's done is incredible, good job!
