Eli's Potential track build
We are nearly there. I dreaded this day but it worked out swimmingly. Compression test read...Cyl 1: 200psi
Cyl 2: 190psi
Cyl 3: 180psi
Cyl 4: 200psi
Done after a full heat cycle. Let the car cool off for about 15 minutes and hooked up a jump pack to it. Couldn't be more stoked.
Going to order a kraken full kit next week. Pulsar gtx2860r, with some wastegate porting. 7" kraken intercooler. Flyin Miata hot side intercooler pipe and radiator to mix mani pipe so I can clock the compressor down and fit the plumbing behind power steering and AC.
The plan is to get the car up on wheel blocks this offseason, remove the full exhaust, do the clutch, do the turbo kit, and then we're off.
The last couple things that need to happen before the offseason are fueling related. Hardwire fuel pump kit, ID1050xds injectors, and an ethanol sensor. Can't wait!!

Nice! Always such a relief seeing that your engine's got those good numbers haha. Not too surprising though given the mileage you're at. I know you were at 112k when the thread started, what's the car at now?
I compression tested my BPE8 at 195k and was sure I was gonna find that something inside was toast, but nope, 175-180psi across all cylinders lol. These things really take care of themselves as long as they're maintained.

Man I love BP's! Great numbers for a nearly 200k car. My car just surpassed 120k! Only reason I know is because my cluster is in my apartment while I get my CAN gauge fitted. Going to update that thread today too.
I ordered up my kraken kit! No telling when it will arrive but I'm hopeful that I can do injectors and a clutch right before winter blows in-in the Midwest so I can check the tune and break in the clutch. Then keep my fingers crossed the kit gets delivered in the offseason. Until then I'm taking on some smaller projects like fitting the car with Glocs and moving the ecu to the passenger airbag cubby.
