I'm gonna resume my sickass modfest tomorrow.
I think I will lighten this car.
Any tips on how to lighten the ever living *** out of it? I would like to use thermite if possible.

Sober up is def the key here. But if safety isnt your biggest concern, you can keep the comfort and ditch the safety ---- like airbags and crash beams. Thermite off all of the bumper supports, that would be entertaining AND lighten the car at the ends which is more effective than removing weight from the middle.
Remove rear bumper, thats just added weight too. and its worthless.

Got the suspension on. The rears took like 15 minutes per corner total. Waiting for it to settle and then will get an alignment.
Speaking of suspension settling, can someone please explain this? Why would the car get a little lower after a week or so???
Also
Someone sell me a six speed and I will boost this

Every little bit of friction and play adds up. Springs aren't seated to the shock or the hat, hat isn't seated to the chassis, a-arm bushing are bound in the lowered position, springs are still at their BNIB length, etc, etc. Adds up to a good 1/4" or so of ride height I've found.
I'm fairly certain it's mostly the springs though, brand new they're x.00 long and after a week of use they're (x-1).9X. Just a fact of life.

Baby was rusty
So I hurt her.
BWAM I AM A FUKKN MIRACLE WORKER
I cut out the outmost body sheet and then primered it a bunch. The rust went pretty deep into the second layer and we ground at it a while. It was deep. So we said fucky it. And primered it and put the mazda ground fx over it. Bad as hell.

I guess the recipe for getting attention on MT.net is either be a boat load of fail when working on your car, or have amazing skills, or do something totally new. But if you're in the middle, or do something that's been done before, no one cares. lol
