I never got a ride in it :( . I was just showing him the ropes with a few settings and then I loaded in brain's old timing map.

He had the stock DIY PNP map on with his low compression pistons. SO MUCH room to play. There is still a lot that car can go before it is considered agressive timing tho. . . But I think a det can tune might be a good idea.

How'd you not get a ride in it?! Thats like an unwritten car guy rule....you always gotta go for a rip

Brains map is definitly a good starting point. I was amazed with the difference it made on my car. I've been making a few changes here and there with it and I think I got it dialed in pretty good for my car. I could probably be a bit more aggressive, but I'd like to do that work on a dyno or with a helper on the street (Pain in the *** driving, listening to the detcans, and making adjustments all at once) The det cans are key. They have been my number one tool lately since they make me feel more comfortable making adjustments. Otherwise I'd have no idea on if the changes I'm making are good or bad.

Dave sounds good, im racing the stupid 600hp sti on friday hopefully. Id like to get a few logs in before that, maybe tune for race gas as well. 30psi on pump is holding up great right now but im still hella week on timing and hella rich on fuel. Spins in 4th gear though! lol

Just do a few "Long" logs and run VE analyzer in mega log viewer like we were the other night. After a few you should have your fuel dialed in pretty well, not perfect, but damn good. Your spark table is pretty good...theres power to be had, but I think once you get your fuel dialed in you'll be happy What do your afr's look like in boost right now? If you need a hand for like an hour or so, I'm not doin **** tomorrow night.

Now, what I wanna know is when your putting that kid Mark in his place lol.

Is that Lyman Orchards?

A few questions on your turbo--

I looked on the garrett website and i can't find your turbo. :( Would you mind posting a link to the page? I was curious about the compressor map. Also which size compressor are you using?

I ask since I'm curious how this turbo compares to the GT30 and GT35. thanks

P.S. Please whup on the STI-- there are quite a few 500+hp sti's and evos in my area

60-1 is an older turbo. You wont find much about it because it isn't "current" with the new GT series turbos.

Thank you!

I'm confused--- if fastcolt is running 30psi, that is pretty durn far off the efficiency map. I dunno his altitude but he needs 51psi absolute to hit 500hp crank which um works out to a pressure ratio of over 3.5.

If I am reading the map right, the car should be sized well enough for around 325 crank but not much more? Looks like the modern equivalent would be a 2871 or 6???

I dont have 500hp right now. If im lucky im barely scrapping 400. This turbo made 381hp on pump gas @ 25psi on Jtothawhat's 1.6. Im at 30psi, im sure im close to if not over 400. Not too many things scare me in life.....this car does.....

I doubt my ability to comprehend compressor maps. Nyways TTU to you and your build! What is your RPM redline now? Also how is that sprung 4 puck working out for you? I have the ACT 6 puck and IMO it's smooth as a kitten

NP Dave, hit me up.

Gods honest truth, clutch is smooth as silk, I love it. And pedal pressure is not bad either.
