Did a little fabbing yesterday on the eliminator. Boxing in the fuel filler neck.

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...5811122166.jpgVersion 2 MUCH better - and waiting on spring locking hasps for the sides to replace what's currently there https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a5b2392b97.jpgThis was the ONLY reason I bought a lift https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...c10002e51c.jpg |
Holy shit... this thing actually might run within a month or so. Got my ms3 basic in from TSE and welded up mega-cheap wing for drag :) - I'll be swapping for a gtc-250 - I can't bare to steal the Kognition wing off the track car at the moment. Waiting on the rear 10" heims for adjustability.
Also ordered today was water/air intercooler and associated components... https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...d9b2f84a1e.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...85459e9df7.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...57044e5c9a.jpg |

As if we care |
My "heimen" joints came... the support rods are 1/2" OD 1/16" wall - that shit aint going anywhere. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...b662ae0df3.jpg

Starting to really come together! Pumped for you man!
I just got my Lincoln 210mp in as well - started stitching up the chasis - moving right along! Would love to see your work / ideas for the front "double-wing" setup. Rear wing looks killer. |
Been busy lately... still waiting on a couple more parts to come in, then will deliver for wiring and tuning.

Had some VooDoo Ranger myself yesterday - but being in Colorado New Belgium is much easier to find than out your way I'm sure :)
Relocated the rad to the back, eh? Had the same thought - frees up a LOT of space up front for the IC, etc. Have any idea what material you'll use for the lines back up to the block? |
That's a heat exchanger for the air to water intercooler. Not the rad.
|
Ooooohhhh, got it! Totally missed that - there were clues now that I look a bit closer :D
|
Yup - water/air. The main lines to and back are 1/2 copper, then rubber hose for the remaining. Can't wait to get this thing on the ground... this entire setup WILL scream at the tighter tracks such as Barber.
Alan (creator of the Eliminator) put down a 1:39.2 a couple weekends ago with SCCA TT... that was on about 180rwhp too. I'll be running 250+... now if I can only handle it. Here's his run, last lap I think. |

Making it's journey for harness, start n tune... then straight to the rack for obvious alignment |
There it is! Pumped to see how the interior turns out
|
Just uploading some pics...

Looking dope! Love that valve cover
|

|
how is this thing going?
|
It's currently back in the hands of the tuner to finish up on the wiring and get running. So far he has yet to crank it... im a little more than impatient add this moment... aggravated is more like it.
i did order some 245/40 RC-1's for it the other day when Maxxis had there sale. Wonder how long they'll sit in the corner until used, lol |
Now get back to your S2 build!
|
I'm liking that front wing!

I can only give you one up cat for that. I'll definitely have to check it out when you get it back. I need to find a good cage builder for my car.
|
Hopefully it'll all be good... running tight to windshield pillar, V door bars, gussets - should be pretty badass I hope.
|
It's alive, ALIVE!
Hopefully some tuning going on today |
Huge congrats man - that's a massive milestone!
|
Sooooo I had to do something drastic - this guy working in my Elim just didn't have it all there to get this complete... and it was costing me money by missed track days I signed up for - not to mention the amount of time he's had it. So after tossing back n forth F-yous, I told him to put it outside and I'll pick it up in the morn. So I did! This time, I'm hoping the local miata guru will be able to help me out with finishing what he started... or use what he can and do what he needs to do to get it reliable without bare wires hanging all over the place! But first, dropped off to my guy for putting on new rubber, setting ride height and alignment.
