Sideskirts: tell me about them

Nice NA build! I wish I had the space/tools/motivation to build things like that header, I've always wanted to do a build like this. Cheers!

This build adheres to a set power to weight ratio. To remain in my class I'm allowed up to 15:1 so at my soon to be 1950 race weight I can only have 130corrected WHP... No boost for me this season.

If the video doesn't work, you didn't miss anything.

My $20 1.6 dash. So clean I almost felt bad cutting it in half but my buddy had it done before I could get a "before" shot, lol.

Still need a tombstone and gauge hood....

Fun build.

^I'll try to get some this week.

3rd lap of the first session so the track was still dirty and cold, not enough tire pressure in my 888's because I didn't check them before going out, slight traffic and a big goof entering turn 1 = Beat my old Kumho XS/stock head/IM/header best by .1 second. I really think it had high 22s/low 23s in it but who the eff knows, enough racecar excuses and speculation, now to find a 6-speed trans.

What is the weight of your car without you in it, and how much rwhp do you think you're making?

Car weighs 2030 without me, currently. Goal for this year is 1950. I'm estimating my WHP around 100/110?

Not really sure if that's even plausible though...

So what is the verdict of your cam timing? If it sounds like that simply because of the header primaries, that thing sounds so badass! Any reason you designed your header like that?

Timing was fine, we advanced it to 15* but it's still prety lopey.

Designed them like what, equal length?

Designed it that your primaries are on 1&3 and 2&4.

Its a matched primary design, theoretically the timing of the exhaust pulses should help scavenge the exhaust and move the air better than say a 1-2 & 3-4 matched design. Firing order is 1-3-4-2 so the two primaries that he paired into a collector compliments the other by firing right after the other.

OR SO HE SAYS.....
