Brand new MSM clutch from Rosenthal is $314.66.

Bet you could find it a bit cheaper if you shop around, or if you have access to Mazda Motorsports program.

Part #s:

BP1216410 - pressure plate
BP1216460 - disc

Alternatively, vteckiller2000 will be pulling the clutch out of our old MSM soon. It's got about 30k on it, max. I bet he'd give it to you for cheap.

This is the used clutch previously referenced above that I am contemplating purchasing.

Small progress. Last pieces needed before install are all the hoses/fittings for oil etc. and my clutch still. My DD broke down so I believe that has zapped my funds for both of those. I guess i'm back in waiting mode.

Spent part of Sunday refinishing my manifold and took a closer look at all my parts.

Used por15 Manifold paint. Says it is good up to 1500F. We will see. I stripped it down taking off any loose rust, used por15 marine clean then metal prep. The metal prep stuff is great, it changes rust, from being rust.

My beautiful downpipe. I also have some exhaust paint coming I plan on using on this thing. I didn't make it. It came as part of a packaged deal. I will use it for a season or so, until I can afford nicer.

'

My exhaust

Turbo. It is a Chinese version of a gt28. It is also not the pretties, but I don't plan on refinishing it. I hope to replace it and the dp as soon as possible.

And my gauges

Function > form

If it moves exhaust gas and doesn't leak it's good enough to get the car on the road.

The downpipe I made for my first set-up was pretty awful, but it worked.

Thats the idea. Use it for now, then eventually upgrade the turbo (more efficient and name brand), dp, and exhaust all in 1 fell swoop. All I care about at this point is getting the car boooooooosted. Which will now be 2015 .

QUESTION: Is there anyway to tell if my '95 has the pre-tapped oil feed without taking off parts to see down there? I tried randomly looking yesterday but since I was in work clothes I couldn't dig too much and between the heatshilds and other stuff, I couldn't tell. Do we happen to know a vin range? Mine is an obd1.

I think all '95s had it (mine does), but that assumes you have the original block. Safest is to look and confirm. If you can get under the car, should be able to see it pretty well.

95 should have it. If you go to look for it you'll likely mistake it with the coolant feed. The Oil is the smaller bolt closer to the transmission. Make sure you use an M10 x 1.5 adapter to thread into the block. It's not NPT.

Yup.

When i put my 95 block in i had it. But while doing research i found a lot of misinformation. Some say all 95's had it and some say only half or so of them had it..

Well, to continue my progress of having no idea what i'm doing, I can't figure out what size hoses I have for my oil feed and drain.

For my oil feed, I need to add a 90° end fitting to -4 AN. BUT, I can't figure out my the size of the feed line. I have never messed with hoses, fittings etc so I have no clue about sizing and eyeballing what is what. I know after the first time of holding each one in my hand I would never have another issue, but I don't have access to any other than my unknown lines.

Here is the feed line.

Then for my drain line, I'm not certain if it is -8 or -10. I need to purchase a drain fitting and don't know if I need an adapter or can just plug right on.

edit: will get pictures this evening with measuring tape.

That feed line looks enormous, any plans for restriction? I guess you could always see if it smokes, then restrict it if so.

Well... if you're using -4AN fittings, then you're probably using -4AN line.

As for the drain, if you want to use that hose and it's got AN hose ends on both ends, you'll need a -AN bung of an appropriate size installed in your pan.

Is this actually a ball bearing turbo?

That's what she said.

I was told its a floating bearing and this is the drain that was used on it previously.
