Another update.
Got the EGT in, welded on, and checked on the mockup engine.
Boy is it getting tight in there.
And while I had it, figured I'd compare the divorced turbo elbow to the OEM with a very non-scientific test.
Took my airgun and shoved it in the EGR port on the header, Taped it full open, and watched the impeller while manually opening/closing the wastegate.
Hard to really tell, but it seems to me that the Divorced (second clip) has a lot more change in wheel speed when the wastegate opens as compared to the OEM.
Edit: wow failed splice on that vid
OE Elbow
then Sunday local Autox had our first points event.
Was a fun course, with a pretty big offset right in the middle (jump), the transition to cement and back is a doozy, cement has a ton of grip, sealed asphault does not.
I ended up 2nd raw behind a crazy person in a model 3 performance on all the suspension, and 7th pax.
Not sure if I've run in that lot before, but it looks like a pretty good one.
What's your timeframe for getting the new manifold installed and tested?
It's the FairPark lot, lots of undulations, including a "bowl" drain section.
and for timeline, been talking with my Vegas friend, and it's looking like mid May is the earliest our schedules align, so, sadly waiting a while before actually getting it on, and getting real data. (though I'm super excited for it)
