Italian project

you can see it in the vid on first message up here...

just now i did some mods: cut spring by 1/3 and disconnect recirculating plumbing (was to inlet hose pre-turbo) and the result is quite fine, just a low and short fluttering at low rev/boost...

The blow off valve was probably waiting for you to hit a manly pressure like 20 or 25 psi.

winter project thoughts:

k1 rods
wiseco 8.5
cometic + arp HB
gt2560
larger inj than yellow rx8 (?)

all things to rebuild (w-pump/cam-belt etc)

1.8 stage1 clutch and torsen already in

target 260/270 rwhp

suggestions/comments?

Well, time has come, starting to put things together, done/bougth since now:

- FM mani + down'p
- Garrett Discopotato
- 8.5 78,5 wisecos w/ rings
- H ebay rods w/ ACL bear's
- Denso subaru 565cc inje'rs
- Cometic hg w/ ARP
- Rev Ems2 w/ ebc and egt
- PLX wb/boost gauge
- 22" intercooler 'nice fins'
- ebay alu/silicone intercooler tubing
- alu rec bov
- alu rad 42mm w/ reroute
- oil rad w/ thermo
- homemade cold air box
- Stage 1 1.8 clutch
- 2.5 exhaust with magnaflow
- 1.8 torsen w/ 6M and 4.1
- 1.8 brakes w/ dtc30
- RB big sway bars
- Ohlins R&T


Till now honed/bored cilinders, head mild ported and unshrouded valves, waiting to measure/install rod bearings and so on...

talking about EGT, ho that probe will work in you experience?



i was scared about drilling/tapping/welding a cast manifold so i used egr plug but it looks to me that would be too close to exhaust port...

All is back together and idle running waiting for ID 725 injectors to come...

Why so much timing at idle? Curious as isn't the consensus 10-14* is preferable for a stable idle?

my 1.6 likes that, i can idle at 16 afr but not under 20/22 advance...
