You may be right, but traction or not, I highly doubt anyone that would take a quick glance at that car would ever be able to tell it has 400+. Or maybe 600+ if he finishes whatever he's putting together this time around.

Also, Eliminator put down some ridic power as well and was able to get his car to hook. I think the devil is in the details: proper tires/suspension/gearing and all the little **** that goes into that and he may just pull it off. We'll see.

Yeah Eliminator had no issues with traction with MTs on the rear--I think he was making near 600 whp before he sold it.

When I made 400+ whp on pump I didn't really have traction issues if the road was hot (above 75 outside), and I was on 205/50/15 NT01's that where not warmed in anyway. Only top of 3rd I would break lose. But I can assume on MTs, I won't have issues...but if I do, I have my PRO EFI and Iboost, boost by gear function.

Traction isn't a black art. If he invests in the correct tires he won't have serious traction issues.

I guess it's because high power street miatas are new to the scene but keeping traction in sub 2500 pound cars is nothing new.

If you don't mind having some serious meats in the rear you can fit tires that will hook first when it's warm. A 225/50/15 DR will do you wonders but I would personally go taller, even for a street car.

EDIT: There is a 235/60/15 you might be interested in. But what you really need is some ExoSpeed 15x11's with slicks for the strip.

He sold his car???? I'm guessing you know him IRL since I never saw anything on the forums about it?

I don't think he ever announced it. I sent him a PM on m.net asking where his pictures and videos went from his threads, he wrote back saying he sold the car and that he has no pictures.

I honestly think it is a sore subject for him.

You're going with a 7670 right? What made you decide to go for high boost and a smaller turbo vs. lower boost and a bigger turbo?

Fae, I decided on the 7064 after I saw the dyno sheets of a few cars with the smaller model make 540+ whp with an awesome power band--as well as talking to Full-Race. I will be running E85 so I see no reason to give up driveablity for higher peak power and less boost. According to Geoff I should make 30+ psi before or around 4000 RPM which should net me around 600 whp +/- on E85.

Ahhh E85 FTW. OK that makes sense.

BTW were you running E85 on your old dyno record?

I like how all these build threads are about the same thing, pics of turbo set ups bragging numbers but not driving at all. Show me some videos of the actual car rolling against other cars. Get me hyper please

So you want to see races but you haven't even heard of common aftermarket fuel pumps? Troll
