I guess we're getting spoiled with these fancy new ones coming out lately.

I'm sure it will get the job done.
Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I bought mine RIGHT after the pnp unit first came out (2008 iirc?) and have been running it since.

That's basically what I thought, I don't drive my car in the city much or in traffic, etc. It idles fine and runs smooth, and was easy to tune. I still love my ms1, but may consider upgrading one day to try out the extras that come with ms2/3.

I also run rx7 550's and have had no issues with the resolution or idle. I don't even have a VTPS yet , but i'm wiring in the 99 VTPS and modding my mspnp with my new build.

this just in: Im building my block with the help of my friend Matt who is an engine builder. Its long over due that I tackle this almost on my own. I know I can do it right so im not worried.

Only thing going in the short block are H-beam rods, king bearings, new piston rings and arp hardware. Im keeping the stock pistons as ill be running Meth again.

How visible are those gauges from outside the car?

I was thinking of putting my boost/wideband gauge there rather than an A-pillar mount because I don't want **** stolen out of my car. Is that mounting low-key enough? I am probably just going to put a single PLX multi-gauge there.

I have VEI systems dual output gauge, Wideband/boost, in that spot and I like it. It is very visible without taking your eyes off the road and I have it position to block a portion of my speedometer because I rarely look at it because I know how fast I am moving by the tach.

If you get Prosport gauges you don't really need to put them in your line of sight. They have audible alarms and the gauge flashes. It was pretty sweet to know my car wasn't making oil pressure before I really did damage.

Jared, are you sure a 30 psi gauge is going to be enough for your stock engine?

That's just for set up #1, it's so he can say he's running "all of it".

It's not my line of sight that I am worried about, it's more the line of sight of anyone who wants to steal it/something else on my car. I would like to keep it looking as stock as possible, but what I would like and what I have to do are 2 different things.

I would use a single din 3 gauge setup above the radio if I were you. That is the best way to keep it looking stock.
