Mobius's Build - Brotrex and Bromex galore!
Sorry to hear about your Miata... a buddy of mine stacked his up on Sunday as well... t-boning a Spec e30 that ended up stalled over the blind crest of a turn at Thunderhill.
Not a good weekend for Miatas, evidently.
On a positive note, just think of how happy your dog will be when he sees you again after you return from your adventurous year! That outta be a great day, for sure?

Dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit.
Dammit.
I feel your pain, as you well know. Glad to hear you and your passenger are OK.
NA - based build time? After NZ?
Edit: dammit dammit dammit. Dammit.

Yeah I'm fine. Just my normal aches and pains. Maybe a little bit of that soreness you get when you try the boxing game on wii/xbox the first time, and my neck might be just a tad sore. I would feel it if I tried to do dead lifts.

Well I'm glad to hear it.
Did you take pics or are you waiting for that?

I lurk in this thread religiously. I've been planning a rotrex setup for my nb and this has sorta been a guide for "This is how we do it..." que Montell Jordan Voice.
Super bummed for you dude. As a track rat myself I know all too well that these are the risks we take. Honestly I feel like we always think in the back of our heads, nah, that happens to other people.
Again, super sorry dude. I'm stoked that you're already planning your journey back to glory. Please keep updating. The end of this car (shell maybe) and your trip abroad is a big hit to this build thread subsection.

The driver's fender had a crease with a very interesting stress result in the paint.

And then the damages. Pictures really do no justice to how warped things are.

This is when a strong man cries on the outside too.

Aidan look again, the radiator support was along for the ride as the bumper crash bar went sideways along with the right frame horn, which is now approximately on the centerline of the car.
Wow is right, thats impressive. I've said it before, I do love a dark NB and its sad to see it go.
Completely justified.

Strong men... also cry
When you are feeling up to it, a quick recap of safety equipment, seat mounting, etc might be nice. I'm so glad you came out unscathed though, that's the important part.
