Default Mx is still alive look what he has done :magna:

Hey guys i know i have been absent for awhile or atleast not the rabid poster I once was. Still i just figure you could appreciate my current build. Its about 90% finished. Long story short I took a 95 transam and stuck the guts in a beater 94 nissan pickup. So far the truck runs but i have yet to drive it out of the garage/

Header clearance was pretty good at about 4 inches.

A pic of the front end as it sits not with my radiator and tranny cooler in place.

LT1 LT4 L99 Installer Package #2 DIYAutoTune.com
from DIY, and a Gpio that I ordered and assembled myself. This last part was the most hair raising as most of you know im not a solder monkey. I havent gotten into the gpio much more than powering it on and nothing exploding though so i still hope i did everything correctly. My nigling issues at the moment are with the MS itself. Both my TPS and opti 12 volt outputs arent putting out 12+. They put out .02 etc for some reason. And when i just run a 12+ to where i need it the opti works fine but the tps values still do not read in a linear fashion. Before they would read constant high and now they just climb as long as the unit is powered on. And to make sure the coil would fire correctly i had to wire in a 1k resistor to 12+ as a pullup.

So if any of you MS gurus could tell me where or how to trouble shoot my issues here then i could atleast call the ems finished and move on with making sure the gpio works as intended.
Also my idea of piggying into the signal for injector bank 1 to run my tach does not work it turns out i need to figure out a way to get a scaling current 1-12 volts to run my tach.

Anyway more posts pics and maybe even a vid to come if there is interest otherwise i gues i will skulk back to internet ananimity, kinda like all the WI info I flooded the site with on several occasions.

You're practicing on a truck first so you can do it again with a Miata, right? Right?

Update apperently getting home at 7am after working 12's is not th ebest time to work on your car. I accidentally flashed the gpio firmware onto the ms2. Now i have since erased the gpio firmware and relaoded the bootstrap, part of the ms2 firmware, but i cant seem to complete a laod of the actual ms 3.whatever code onto the ecu to bring it back to working order. Is there anyone out there with a stim and, or more knowledge and ability than i posses who would flash this thing for me or tell me just how screwed i am?
I would contact DIY but its sunday and, im not sure they like it when i bug them about stuff.

Have you posted up on th actual MS forums? Might be a wider audience base to reach if we do not come up with the answer.

I was about to pump a iron sledge hammer into this MS but as usual Scot swooped in and saved the day. Since i have the ecu running normally now im gonna give up on my CAN issues and just run the GPIO with its own rpm and tps signal and tune em seperate. Thanks agian Braineack

Ok quick update guys the gpio is now working it turned out to be a pressure issue, I swapped out the force motor and now it seems to work fine I have invested in shadow dash and its pretty damn cool from what I have seen so far. But I wonder if someone would direct me as to how to display my vehicle speed output from the gpio unto the gauges as the tablet I am using right now does not have gps capabilities.

So how about it fellas send me a link or breack down what I have to do modify my ini files etc to get the gauges I want on shadow dash. Thanks in advance guys.

non magna speak explanation

MSGPIO work now. Shadow dash is cool. How I make shadow dash show gauge I want but have no option to select? i.e vss output speedo reading or even odometer if possible. Trans temp would be nice as well but not as big a deal as speedo output.

Someone school me in this **** or point me to a link that explains it.

Do you have a VSS wire hooked up to the MS that it can understand? If not then you cannot get vehicle speed working.

Noobs should be aware that nobody else is allowed to talk as poorly as Magna does on here. He's been grandfathered in.
