Okay after some research, it's a VR direct coil with a high current. I'm not going to install the high. Current. And I do need to install the PWM standard circuits. But no jumpers

Wilst waiting for a response I began on my harness. How are there 2 GN/W but only 1 wire? And how do I go about the white big wire.

Alright. Now I seriously need help. I was testing it with my stim on tunerstudio and about 2 min in I heard a pop and smelt that "oh ****" electronic smell. It said it was a different firmware and now it doesn't recongnize the ECU at all. Everything looks fine from what I can see. But I don't know. I can't catch a break with this ****.

it has none of the mods required to run a miata. right now, the best that's going to run is a car with a distributor.

I had every intention to buy the right parts. I have the expansion board and both wiring harnesses. But I thought the PCB I bought was the right one but it wasn't I found out.

If you already have the MS3x expansion board and both wiring harness, get the MS3 daughtercard. You're going to have a headache with MS2.

First Log.msl

Alright, here we go; so I have a working megasquirt, and everything looks fine except the AFR's. I have a MAP signal that is correct, i originally had no tach signal but i fixed it cause i had it wired wrong. That is my data log, and i can keep it 1/3 running when i hold the throttle lol. The serious problem is that i am in the 7's for AFR's. Any ideas?

All of this could have been avoided by simply buying a MS from a forum sponsor.

you aren't going to be a master tuner right off the bat. You are getting some readings and the car starts and runs, kind of. Keep plugging away. That is unless your life motto is going to be" when the going gets tough, I ******* quit".

the money is spent already. You are just going to lose money the second you sell our stuff at a loss.
An equally retarded investment plan.

Don't be a *****. Get out there and figure this car out. It will take weeks or even month. Know this.

You're 18, but if this isnt going to make you sleep on the street keep at it. You'll be in good company. Forrest is a HS senior and look at how far he's come. Hell, i'm 27 and in med school, but i bother him for help and advice on facebook all the ******* time.

Where are you located? Maybe some locals will give you advice or lend a hand. I'd have honestly never dared to attempt this if I didn't know folks near me who are awesome. I'm pretty lucky that way...

I'm in North Georgia, today I went to load firmware on the ecu because the issue was I was on the wrong firmware for the ecu. But then I lost connection to the ecu and have no idea what happened, that is why I'm throwing in the towel. I'm very inclined with mechanical and could install everything, I just want something relatively cheap that works for engine management. I don't need all the fancy things, just timing and fuel control and I could work with it.

Cheap also comes with headaches.

Unless you want to do a piggyback or bipes acu and fmu slash fpr. Those have their own issues, but they do work... kinda sorta.

Ryan is right that youd have has a much better time paying for a used built ms2 for your car.
