Taiwan or China, I haven't picked with program I want yet. I can go in the spring but I'll probably wait until Summer so I'm not rushed. Plus my lease doesn't end until May, and I don't want to leave my brother hanging on rent. The China program is like 40k though, which I'll probably need the money from selling parts to pay for that one completely. Taiwan is like 25k which I can do.

Holy shit man, well.. congrats on the scholarship and whatnot!

That is seriously a massive collection of parts to be parting out. Sucks the car is in so many pieces so you can't even sell it whole. Emailed..

FRT_Fun 11-11-2013 12:40 PM

I thought about selling it as a whole (it was actually running, just needed to find an exhaust since it was NA open downpipe).

But there was no way I would be getting the same amount of money as a part out. The actual miata is going to a good guy who is going to swap over all his parts to it since the body is in great shape. So the miata will live on which makes me happy.

As for the rest of parts, they will live on through other miatas haha.

I'm not happy about it, but the timing just isn't right. I will probably buy another miata when I get back, but hopefully by then I'll be old enough to not want to modify it, or just send it to FM to do all the work hah.

Yeah fucking right. A miata is a GREAT car, but it has to be modified. I would not own a dead stock NA chassis miata for any real period of time, lol.

That's the problem, the miata is a GREAT car and I just want to tear it apart and never drive it. This one was gonna be the build that covered all the areas I wanted to modify so I had nothing left to do, unfortunately (and fortunately) fate had other plans.

114 days from when I made title change to he decides to sell. Enjoy your trip to China. There will be Miatas still around when you get back. You will be buying another one, we all know it.

Judging by my history that is about on par for the course.

If I do get my house tomorrow, I was actually going to offer you storage space for the year if you wanted it.

Maybe you'll be the first to part out an ND?

The new owner is swapping over some pretty good parts. He runs an MS and he knows his shit. He will definitely have it up and running soon.

The old chassis/shell is in good hands. I have started work on it already! I may have to make a build thread on here for the two Miatars I have, but neither are boosted...

There it is chillin' next to my black 93.

I have an engine, factory wiring harness. I will probably find a trans and diff in the next couple weeks. Basically for now the plan is to midly "restore" the car. Get it running/driving/stopping as it should then figure out a plan for some upgrades.

The joy of having two is that I can do all the stuff to the black car, as it isn't as nice body wise. Then just restore the red car more or less and have the best of both worlds (lots o mod miatar, and mostly stock miatar.)

The black Miata was my 9th, and the red one makes 10.

FRT I will literally pay you if you do my wiring and fix its issues for me! Holy god that is amazing!

Ah, cool. I hadn't checked on her in a while.

Get it stopping? Is the BBK gone? Must be if it has those wheels on it, lol.

EDIT - I see a few mods from the red car on the black one, that explains it.
