Were you experiencing wheel hop at all? I would think that would be more difficult to do with a steady application of force than with a shuddering, intermittent force.

I sent him an email yesterday already. The only hop I had was at the track under 1st to 2nd gear change and was minimal.

The new mounts he sells have an aluminum plate for mounting to the car which is MUCH thicker. I have a set of the new style in my other car. I can't help but think these are made of way undersized plate.

It looks a little bit in the picture like the urethane itself failed under compression and allowed the bottom of the mount to hit the frame support.

Shandelle thinks the bushing failed as well. Maybe my track evening really did it in?
