Am I reading that nap correctly that it maybe just needs another .5-.7 bar to get on full boil?

Yeah something like that. But as you can observe from the ugly shape of the map, it's basically never gonna have the spool/lowend that you'll want.

a gen2 gtx2860r looks way better

That's exactly what I've got in my shopping basket right now. With a .64 turbine housing.

I don't know what map sensor it has, I may not be able to go to 300. The motor will laugh at 30 psi though regardless.

internal sensor only good to 21
But an external 4 bar is super cheap and easy and you should do it

I mean it's $35, you can't not do it

I've logged 22 psi though. Maybe I have a 4 bar?

Possibly. I was just going off TSE's advertisement of the MS3 basic.
But most likely because sensors can usually read 2-3psi above their threshold

Wait are you buying the whole GTX turbo or just the CHRA? I just did a quick price check on the whole turbo and it was around $1600 or so. That is EFR money and I am not sure why you would not switch at that price point.

Supercore. I'll use the kinugawa (sp?) .64 turbine housing I already ordered with it and save some monies. I got the hot side for free with a car I parted out and i don't really want to sell it and complexify everything else to swap to a different setup until after our house closing. Need to not be fully dumb with spending yet

are you absolutely 100% sure the kinucrapa hotside will perfectly fit the garrett size AND shape?

Because didn't some guy on here recently end up with a horrible powerband because his ebay housing was slightly (barely visibly) different inside from the garret turbine wheel fin tip shape?

I'd hate to see you burn money for no reason.

If you are seriously considering buying a while new turbo, I would highly suggest going EFR over the GTX. You will have to redo upper section of your downpipe, but V-bands are worth it.

He'd have to re-do..... literally his entire setup. All of it. Ground up.
