Also, I now have a highly descriptive warning...

Also, wtf?

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1439436288

Did they re scale this thing or something?

You were on really old firmware right?

18psi 08-13-2015 01:31 AM

wait, you were on a rev unit and "updated" the firmware?
you know he uses custom firmware right?
uh ohh

aidandj 08-13-2015 01:32 AM

Rev told him 1.4 was fine.

Reverant 08-13-2015 03:45 AM

The Basic series units use stock firmware. Even the latest Enhanced MS2s use stock firmware.

EO2K 08-13-2015 10:12 AM

Yep, I asked first. I'm not that crazy ;)

I realize I should probably explain exactly what I did before I start asking for help :)
 • Downloaded 1.4.0
 • Saved msq (used 'save as' in TS)
 • Copied entire project folder to new folder (as a backup)
 • Flashed 1.4.0, told it to preserve calibrations.
 • Flash completed, notified cals not saved
 • Powercycle
 • Started TS
 • Got giant crazy warning that TS could not support firmware without update
 • Installed update
 • Restarted TS
 • Got difference report
 • Used settings from TS (from 'current tune' in project folder)
 • Car no start
 • Check idle/start settings, notice IACV is not selected, turn it on
 • Powercycle again
 • Car no start
 • Start TS
 • Get 'pwm_rpms_a' warning posted previously
 • Run 'compare' against MSQ that was saved directly before flashing
 • Difference Report results in screenshot

So what did I do wrong?

I have no idea what the above tables do but obviously the numbers in the msq I saved look more sane than what's in the controller. I'm guessing I should probably just use the msq settings and then figure out my no-start?

I should stop posting links to giagantor images hosted on imgur, it'll save me a lot of left/right scrolling when posting.

Think of the children...

Go to your images.

Click the view image dropdown box.

Select generate image links

Pick some pictures.

Press done.

Choose Linked BBC and Large thumbnail.

Copy generated links

Profit.

EO2K 08-13-2015 11:52 AM

Thats if you like, have an imgur account. I just drag n drop, hit upload, grab the BB url, paste it into my post, manually type in the img tags and roll like a bauce.

Drove the Subaru to work today. Much sadness.

aidandj 08-13-2015 11:53 AM

Link you gmail account. Seriously. Old news bra. I paste 10 photos in one key combo.

It also saves your shit for later.

Using the same or shared credentials across multiple services causes me to break out in hives and have violent, uncontrollable physical outbursts. Sysadmin habits die hard.

So, no :fawk:

aidandj 08-13-2015 12:03 PM

It uses googles external oauth system. So you are actually just using a google login.

EO2K 08-13-2015 12:55 PM

Doesn't matter, I still don't want the accounts linked in any way. I try to keep these things as separate as possible. The chain of security and privacy is only as strong as its weakest link. The more places my info is used/stored/transacted, the longer the chain gets and the greater the chances of exposure. Imgur does not require me to log in to host my images, therefore I have no login. Would you believe me if I told you that I usually expunge or obfuscate exif data from the images I use before I upload them? ;)

Example: I never used picasa because its linked to my Google account. It used to be trivial to figure out a users Google account (and thus email address) if someone posted using a picasa link unless the user took the time to change the options around for the URL. 98% of the time, they did not.

I guess I'm just old enough to be incredibly paranoid. It's all personal preference, and this is how I prefer to operate. :dunno:

I'd gladly send you another one. Want a widescreen T400 this time?

Girz0r 08-13-2015 01:29 PM

FO' FREE? Yes, of course. That would be delightful.

The current one I have is running like a champ. Installed SSD, 8GB Ram, 9 cell battery... It'll go 5-6 hours if only browsing the internet. Great machine to play UT:GOTY & Q3 ;)

EO2K 08-13-2015 01:51 PM

Wait, what do you have now? Shoot me a PM, I was about to dump a bunch more of them.
