Default Pixie------Warrior Princess

Here is how I got Pixie. Pretty well kept, in good shape and lots of maintenance records.

Started buying parts. FFD EVO1's 15x8 ET32 with some Dunlop Star Specs in a 205/15/50

Got them mounted. Now I am just waiting on the XidasCS coilovers that are a bit over due. I know it's not 949's fault just getting anxious for them. Should be here by the end of the month.

It will give me time to get this repairs anyways. Apparently a Dodge Ram driver wanted to attempt the pit maneuver on me.

And that's where she sits for now. Until I start getting these parts in that are on order.

M edition "Pixie" name fits perfectly.

Not sure what the dodge was thinking that far in.

Damned truck probably couldn't even see him. Ugh.

I feel like I need one of those flags they put on the wheelers/buggies/motorcycles at the sand dunes.

Small update. Only received one part this week which was a replica GV Lip I got from Amazon one night. Was boxed well and seems to fit well. They supplied screws to attach it but I opted for bolts washers and locking nuts from the Home Depot. Pain in the *** to do by yourself but I managed with some swearing.

I also did some interior cleaning. Did some carpet scrubbing and cleaning of sills. I will do it again once I get my steam cleaner back from a friend which will hopefully be around the time when I install a roll bar.

It did, my vacuum is self concience about it's figure and is bulimic. I will never buy a Vacuum from Victorias Secret again, so much extra work.

Got the winter tires de-mounted off the OEM BBS wheels. Based on the replacement cap price and everyone giving me grief about the wheels being used in winter I figured I would clean them up and put them in storage. Now they will not see the daylight until I sell this car!

Also picked up a hardtop thanks to a fellow Miata guy locally here. Got the top off the guy for $800 but had no brackets. Hardtops are damn near impossible to find here in colorado for under $1000 so I officially owe some beers for this find. Ordered some Garage Star brackets and some OEM hardwear for the rear frankenstien bolts.

Thinking I will paint the top Anthracite Grey, the same color as the wheels.

Ah, if you paint the top, paint it to match the car. The only non-matching top color that ever makes sense is black IMO. I know you're going for a matching thing, but I don't believe it will work.

That rear fender damage is a sign from God that you need to do massive flares with some 15 x 10 wheels and 275/35/15 tires out back, or a full wide body kit.

That is what other people are telling me as well. I don't want the top to be the same color as the car, I think that would be just too much Merlot and not enough cheese. I will probably go with gloss black. If I ever decided to sell the car at least black will go with everything.

If I hadn't already spent more on parts than the freaking purchase price in less than 6 months of ownership, I would say your absolutely right. But I can't justify +$1000 in wheels in tires again when i have already done that once this year. Plus flares and more body work. I am not married so i have no wife or girlfriend telling me no you cant, but a bank account that is lower that it normally is saying hey ******* cut back on your spending!

My boxers need to be changed! I am just beyond excited! It took exactly 80 days since I ordered them, but I am beside myself in joy to receive these XidaCS Gen 2 700/400 with NB mounts.

Bonus pictures from a trade show I worked called Automechanika. First year its ever been state side, it is susposed to be even bigger than SEMA by a **** ton, but here in the US it was a complete bust and waist of time. I was asked by TurboByGarrett to come assist at their booth, which they really do have some great engineers and people working for them.

GTX5518R VS GT06 (garretts smallest turbo) comp wheel is the size of a quarter!

One of their new GTW ball bearing turbos. Cheaper than the GTX made to compete against Precision Product.

What I get to gawk at all day. Built by Proffesional Awesome and ran in Time Attack with a GTX3582R and aero mods for days.

Got Pixie back from repair shop. Not particularly happy with the work done, but I noted it with Progressive and they were equally unhappy. The rear bumper that I paid out of pocket to have replaced and repainted has some minor bubbling and there is some tape over spray markings. I will try to get the over spray off when I clay bar it here in a few weeks.

On a side note, I got my Garage Star brackets with hardware as well as the OEM rear saddle clamps and other parts which was grossly over priced. Also I wet sanded the hard top and then had it wrapped in a black metallic 3M Vinyl. (To the people who said the top needed to be either black or Merlot, you were right. Black looks great.) It was cheaper then having it painted and turned out great! Just need the windows tinted now so it will be less of an easy bake oven during summer.
