I have an NB1 so no can haz hole behind headlight. Isn't that only an NB2 thing?

I know I need to fix the routing! I've already outlined what I need to do, i.e.
1) Clock turbo to have the outlet coming off at 10-12 o'clock
2) Find a new home for all the relays that live on the plastic bracket so the filter can go exactly where the stock intake lived. (Potentially get a less bulky filter to fit nicely)

Those are down the list right now... Major priority is figuring out wtf is leaking. The goal was to get the car running over the weekend. That's done for now. This other stuff will come with time. Right now I just want to be able to drive the car without seeing smoke every time I go for a drive. Don't worry Vlad! It's all gonna happen!

In any event... VEAL still needs to work some more magic, but this is at 7 psi. Not sure what's freaking virtual dyno out so much when it comes to displaying boost. This is basically wastegate pressure.

I already want more :(

for boost, i always had to rename that column or something; been a while...

AFR looks okay, but you need to target a bit richer -- smoothing out the lumps will be easy.

your soft limiter is killing your top end :P

12.5 is way too lean, add fuel before you do any more pulls

Yessir

Edit: My gauge displays a higher AFR than TS does. I need to mess with the voltages to get them to line up. I'll do that today since it's easy and kinda sorta important. It's just really hard to see what they're both doing since there's a delay and they're both oscillating somewhat :/

Idle valve test to hold rpm constant and check?

In virtual dyno you can to file -> options -> columns and profiles tab and define the name of the column with your boost info. On mine it's "Boost psi" but I think it might depend on the firmware? And I'm on MS2. You can open it in excel and figure out what the column name is.

So, you are actually running even leaner than 12.5. Don't blow your **** up.

Opposite day!

I meant lower. Was thinking higher, i.e. more fuel than TS is claiming. Looking at the gauge with my foot firmly planted on the pedal shows AFR's in the high 11's to low 12's.

Sorry about that...

You only need to adjust your wideband at idle. Get it matching there in both TS and in the gauge, and then it should match the rest of the time.

What if the smoke is just a way for the turbo to communicate with me? Maybe it's American Indian style smoke signals and I'm just missing a really important message.

Maybe it's just telling me to **** off and stop being a sod.

It oscillates ~.5 AFR at Idle if not a hair more. I might just set all the fuel cells in that region to the same value and see if that helps. That's why I suggested the idle valve test, i.e. hold rpm dead steady.

Come on man, embrace the love. We only do this to folks we like. You never got banned.

How can you be so sure it was Aidan. Not really his style, that we know of yet anyway.

I just figured he was having fun with his new powers. He was the one that did the first name change. Could have been Vlad tho. I was going to put it down as Aidan/Vlad haha.
