Dude are you moving in those pictures?

And try VEanalyze live, it's good enough for my track car apparently (aka: it's survived an HPDE), and runs my target AFR of 11.5.

Which apparently needs to be 11.6.

I was moving. Know where near as fast as I could be though. Those pictures were taken between turn 11 and 12. I don't think I started to get the line anywhere near right on turn 11 until the last session of the day. I get up to my highest speeds on that back straight. So I was going from 6th gear to 3rd. So between having to slow down and shitton and then down shift and turn, I was never hitting it right. Other then that I got the line down pretty well. I just now need a lot more time and work on becoming smoother.

I swapped from a 9.5psi spring to a 6psi Saturday at the event. I have done all my VE tuning with the 10psi spring in so unfortunately I have not hit all the cells around 6psi much yet. I will be saving up my money and hopefully getting tuned soon.

The only thing I had to fix on my car Sunday was tightening my alternator belt, which I knew was already loose before I went to the track day.
ya think! Lol.

I knew when you started the car from miles away cause of the constant squealing and then immediate engine stall

Just messin with ya!

Yeah turn 12 is a bitch, slow as hell turn, and its an increasing radius turn. so even when you do it correctly, it feels wrong. So you always feel like you screwed it up badly.

I had issues with that turn as well.

Was a great weekend though! Had an absolute blast!

So I finished another weekend at CMP yesterday. I had a ******* blast and did not touch a single bolt on the car. The only time I had to pop the hood was to show people my setup. I had an instructor with a MSM running a hydra and slightly better suspension setup then me. He was much better at giving me instructions since our cars were similar.

The only issue I had is after my last sessions there was a slight ticking noise around my turbo. The car still drove home fine and was not down on power. So I pulled off my intake to check and make sure the turbine wheel still spun freely, it did with not hitting. I then held the front of the turbo and I could move the chra around just a slight bit. I am betting that is what is causing the noise. I guess I picked up enough speed by the end of the day that the CHRA had backed out a little bit. Time to learn how to safety wire.

Nice big new intercooler. This is the Begi #3 intercooler. It should be more then enough for my goals.

New fender roller.

My smaller Begi one has held up fine these past 4 years. I just wish I would have gone for this one originally.

New intercooler is mounted. I am still undecided about leaving it silver or painting it black. I figure I will use it some like this and then decide. Also how centered does it look. I tried to push the intercooler as far over to the passenger side as possible.

As soon as I get my turbo back from being safety wired the car will be back on the ground.

not designed to be centered, so you can install with A/C...or in your case, perfect spot for oil cooler.

Doesn't look centered at all. Paint it black do disguise the wonkyness of it. (i realise it's by design).

Mine is off center as well with provisions for the ac components. Ill eventually relocate the canister that is up front and get a larger IC that mounts center. Yes it may look a little "wonky" but it still works.

Black absorbs heat. Plain aluminum reflects it. That was enough incentive for me to keep mine blank.

Lars does not appear to be listed as a participant at Road Atlanta unless he has signed up under an alias.

absorbs radiation from where?

black also radiates more heat than shiny silver. isn't that more reason to paint it black??

I will not be at RA in December. I am instead saving up to go to New Orleans for new years. The first track event at NOLA is that weekend and the Texas crew will be out there.

I am pretty sure Matt has done most of the math in a very old thread showing that a painted IC will not make any temp difference.

I am not really a fan of Bling Bling and the big silver intercooler just seems to me to be showboating. I guess I will run it like this and just see how I like it in a few weeks.

That's the only engineering reason to paint it black.

you mean the negligible convection heat transfer is a reason not to? probably miniscule as lars said i said.
