So basically none occur when not using the counter shaft. I am thinking when the input shaft moves so do a lot of other things in there.

I have broken 5 speeds in 2nd and 3rd, but not 4th. In 4th I am not using the counter shaft, similar to 5th in a 6 speed. Regardless, the 6 speed uses the same thin bearing cap with 5 puny m8's or something.

Correction, the flimsy bearing cap has 6 m8's not 5.

Well that was a good run, 2 whole months and here I am again. This time I broke an entire tooth/cog off the input shaft.

I matched this up with a disassembled transmission, and it's definitely an input shaft cog. However, this time I have the whole tooth, rather than most of one. This suggests that I might have prevented the shaft from moving forward, I will look for evidence of contact and post a pic.

This one broke in 5th I think, at +-12psi on e85 with radical timing. I was trapping 120 at 26psi on this tranny just a few weeks earlier tho just thought I'd share. Still a happy MK Turbo customer, and I was able to adjust my exhaust some by bending the front hanger so it doesn't hit the floor.

Need to fix my timing map so this last one can last till I get a Kmiata tranny swap.

Can't see any evidence of contact between the input shaft and the shim, or whatever. Sure am sick of looking at this pink clutch cover tho...

I remember thinking it so pretty, such a shame no one will ever see it. there it is again.

This might be my last Mazda tranny, just need to figure out what ratios I will be happy with.

Man this tranny is so quiet, it's amazing. I took a degree and a half out above 150kpa and tried to smooth the table between 4 & 6 thousand RPM. We'll see how soon I am back here figuring out how to get that BMW swap kit done.

I did a thing.

Knocked out the spacer/shim and had a stock mass flywheel surfaced. I don't think those guys want me using one of their fancy trannies without sufficient mass they didn't like the spacer either.

If you're sick of looking at that pink clutch cover you could always get an orange one :P

Man, Emilio must be paying you pretty well after all, look at that dedication. If it ever starts to slip or give me any grief, but I am gonna scratch the **** out of the pretty paint before the first picture.
For now the same tranny will go back, it's hasn't started complaining yet. I sent those guys an email this morning tho, letting them know I put a stock flywheel on. It's top secret AFAIK, no idea if I will be trying a different transmission or not in reality. I figure maybe with 25% more mass I can get 2 and a half months out of this one at full(except mid-range) power.

Haha. Just a company-minded joke is all. I probably would have made the same joke pre-employment :P

We got rained out last week, which blows because there is only a weekend event until after taxes.

I am loving the heavy flywheel, my car seems so much less like a go cart. Just less buzzy in general, could be the sweet 5 speed I got this time tho hopefully I won't break this one before mid April.

But the real reason I am posting is this

I found "Little Creatures" all the way from Oz at my local liquor store tonight. I visited their newer brew pub in Geelong, Victoria with my wife once, we had a blast. Very tasty beer!

Cheers!

So this was my wife's favorite beer in Australia. I prefer the pilsner in the green can.

The bottles are nice with the little creature in the glass, I would have loved these back when I was brewing. My old favorite at the time was Deschutes bottles with the hops in the glass.

So my question is this, for the folks in Australia, there is another variety, "Session Ale" what does that mean?
It must be some Aussie term, like rooting. Don't make me post a pic of the 24 hour rescue rooter, or the econo rooter "low rates."

Thanks! When I was brewing we called that LMB, "Lawn Mower Beer." I will definitely have to try it.

Been driving around on my new BroFab front hubs, they are very nice. Also picked this up today for a song, this will be the last one, no really, I swear this time.
