Got the vented wing windows installed yesterday

also got around to building my own LED Blanking Plates, wired them up to the map lights to make the car alot nicer to get into (excuse the potato quality photos, i promise i will get better pics of them soon)

I just read through this thread. Wow, your car has been through a lot in a short amount of time. You'll get it figured out soon enough. Looking forward to seeing this car in person!

Yeah its been quite a rocky start with the car. I certainly hope i can get it all figured out and get several years of enjoyment from it after all the work I've put into it. Couple months and it should be ready to roll. Motor and trans get yanked out this weekend and then its time to open the wallet haha

Very interested to see how much a motor rebuild costs using a local machine shop. I may eventually be following the same path.

i really like the lifts, the only thing that messes with you a little is that you have to drill a hole into the hood bracket then thread it for the hood lifts.

I have it scheduled to start etuning with Ken Hill in April, so as long as we still dont have snow on the ground up here around that time, it should be on the road late March...

Awesome. Sounds like we'll be on the same time line for the most part. And that doesn't seem too bad of an install for those lifts. Convenience factor is up ten fold.

Thanks dude! And yea, these MSMs must all be doomed from the get-go. I'll be updating the thread later today too. Best of luck on your build as well

got the carpets out, test fit the seat, i have to start tweaking the rail to get me lower and further back cause i dont like the current location. I practiced my vinyl wrapping skills on the center console around the radio and shifter for future projects, plus i covered up that hideous silver

yeah its been tough trying to basically bring a car back from the dead... all kinds of bugs and issues ive dealt with on the car. i hope the changes this winter help with all of that... im ready to just go have some fun in this damn car haha

no, that hit a few snags last month when i started to prep everything to come out... the garage im storing the car in, i found out last month the day i planned to pull the motor that his wife took a new job and they were moving the end of April to NC. I couldnt get the block/bottom end done and back from either of the builders before then and i dont have the means to tow the car in pieces from his house to mine. so i will likely buy a junker to start rebuilding over the next year or so. It just means that instead of cranking the boost this summer and trying for 270+, ill just tune it for less boost and likely end up around the 230-240 whp for this summer.

Ah, no need to rush the build then. I wasn't aware your engine was running as is, so that's good. Spring will be here soon enough.

so i am not very please with how low the "LOW" seat rail is. if you look in the pic up a few posts you can see it bends up, its honestly no lower than my current foamectomied stock seat. So i taking the seat rail to a buddy who's going to help me modify the rail to get me lower (heat up the metal and beat the bend out of it to just bolt on and go straight back).

i also am buying a new to me 6 speed and it comes with MiataRoadster short shifter to replace the "i have no clue how its never broken" 5 speed that was put into the car from the previous owner. seriously that 5 speed is a magical unicorn transmission, its from an early 90s, has around 250-270k miles on it, spent most of the last 100k on two different boosted miatae, and neither of those drivers are easy on cars hahaha.
