Default 1988 Mazda 323 GTX - $1500

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1988 Mazda 323 GTX for sale, in USA - Ohio.

Asking price is $1500

1988 Mazda 323 GTX. One of only 1243 made in the US. Last time I checked only 6-700 were still registered. The GTX was powered by Mazda's B6 engine, the same power plant that later found its way into the Miata. In the GTX, though, it had the added benefit of a turbocharger and intercooler, boosting output to 132 hp. Power was put to the ground through all four wheels by a compact planetary differential with an on-dash switch that could lock the differential for loose surfaces.

Car has upgraded front mount intercooler, turbo upgrade off a mx6, freshly reupholstered recaro seats, fuel cell, relocated battery. Has pretty new tires on rx7 wheels. Car does have its share of issues. Previous owner kinda made the car a wiring nightmare. Worked out most of the kinks so its able to be daily driven. Open downpipe so its a little loud. Stripped interior, still have all the plastics. Still a super rare neat car. Would be a good project/daily with a little work. Make me an offer. Call/text five one three six one four six one six zero

Judging by location, I'm going to assume that the 323 isn't your car.

There's a decent amount of discussion on that car on a few local forums. Apparently it's not in the shape that the ad leads one to believe it is in. Electrical nightmare is what one person described it as.

the ad says it's an electrical nightmare and stripped. you dont buy a $1500 GTX and expect a 2011 BMW.

Also says open to offers.

Pretty damn good deal for what is a rare, neat, relatively complete $1000+ car you can still use for transportation.

Between the fuel cell, wiring and stripped interior I say crack pipe.

A tempting crack pipe, but still...

Saw that pop up recently. Maybe if I didn't already have 3 cars I'd check it out.
