Holy crap, this thing is nuts, I just completed my first season in SSM, won by default as the main competition's car/co-driver's car couldn't complete enough rounds. Did it on street tires, but am looking to go Hoosiers and take it to nationals. If the car gets parted, i am interested in the wheels and tires. But in the meantime GLWS.

Does it come with meticulous records detailing what you're going to have to drag out of the boneyard when the mishmash parts start to fail? The motor section reads like a junkyard's inventory. Seriously though, unique car, GLWS.

The only non-miata junkyard sourced parts on the car are the Volvo V70 (any year) power steering pump and the 2005-2014 any ford or mazda car or small suv with a 2.5 liter. But obviously the whole build is documented, and what isnt in my build thread I have my own records for. And there's like a 4" thick stack of invoices.

A wise man once told me “never buy another mans project” the car does look a little hacked together and in that case you will make more money in partout

I'm not saying you bought junk, I'm just saying that the parts certainly come from a wide range of vehicles. It's not like when I sold my Legacy I did a big brake kit on by literally bolting on parts from a 2006 Forester. It was pretty easy to tell the new owner it had oversized brakes from a 2006 Forester.

I know what you mean.

I totally understand the not wanting to buy someone elses project, that why its listed for penny's on the dollar. Honestly, its the diff an a tune away from being "done" for the class it was designed for. There's more prep you could do like spherical suspension arms, lighter brakes, fenders but thats all well within the noise of speed gains or just to make the car look better.

You need to do some fuel system testing before selling.

Like this, only more involved.

Seriously..
