Seems quite of few of Subie owners on this board so I'd throw this one on here as well.

Braille battery from the pic has been replaced by a Duralast.

Fixed indeed. Sick car man. I am not in the market but would love to see some videos or something. Why are you selling?

Thanks guys. I'm selling because I barely drive it, plus I have a house and a kid.

If it was cheaper I would totally be on my way to come get this! Always loved these when swapped. Any reason why you didn't do the STi dash swap aswell?

It's a lot of work- not a simple bolt in affair at all, plus you still end up with panel gaps.

Default CA Emissions

This is a sweet car, my brother has a swapped Impreza.

I was curious about the sticker from CA about the emissions. How hard is that to get, do you have to get it certified by the state police or a shop?

Just curious.

You can put an engine newer than the car itself as long as the donor of the engine is sold in the U.S., with all the emission equipment of course. The state referees issue the BAR label, so when I can be smogged as a 05 STi in this case. Subaru's are pretty easy nowadays.

But, if you buy a crate engine from the mfg with the EO sticker that can passes smog legally, you can just go to a smog shop and skip all the headache, like Motoriq's V8 FD:
