I have a 1999 Mazda MX-5 miata for sale, in USA - Virginia.

Mileage: 120,XXX miles
Engine Size: 1.8l


Asking price is $3400 OBO $2500



I know I don't have alot of post, but I have been a member for years and have been a supporter for most of that time. So here I go.

It is a silver 99 with R package and nardio steering wheel and power doors, mirrors and windows.

The bad:
-new paint need on the front bumper and hood. (bubbling)
-dents from acorns in the hood. (Stupid aluminum hoods)
-front R package air damn is broken. I have most of the pieces. I am missing a 4" piece right in the middle.
-factory fog lights gone. (aftermarket in place)
-top and rain rail need replacement soon.
-17" wheels, I personally done like 17" but that is personal opinion. Not great 17s either but the work and look okay (Almost new potenza tires thought)
-Center arm rest/console is original and the hinge shows it.
-frozen rear o2. (I have the new o2 and it comes with sale, the trick is getting the old out. I have no clue why the PO didn't use anti seize.)
-The PO also had the clutch replaced and they didn't get the rear main or pilot bearing so the pilot rattles a bit and the rear main leaks some. The parts come with the sale.


The good.
-Runs good has good power.
-timing-belt, water-pump, all other belts, plugs, wires, thermostat and air-filter are new.
-Interior has no rips and not very faded
-Stock Bose sound working.
-Cruise control was fixed three months ago and works great.
-Has R package fairings (except the air damn.)
-Tanny has new mobile one fluid.
-Newish bridgestone potenzas
-Muffler and exhaust are not rusted.
-No RUST.
-Suspension is still very responsive.
-Power Everything all working
-can include a 2003 head. Bad exhaust cam but fine otherwise.
-Plenty of other parts that you can look through and have if you want.
-AC works well.
-Still gets 28mpg on the highway.
-have owners manual. The one that comes in the glove box. (You know some people really want that thing)
-Light tint on windows. VA Legal (I like it because it knocks down on the reflections from cars lights behind you)
-Clean clear Title in hand

It is a sports package. Nardio, stock windblocker, power antenna, power locks, under car cross tie braces, and model # found on inside passenger door is NC11-NAB (all tell tales besides just the body work). It was made in 05/98 I believe so it is an old one. I have never done a compression check. It is 14 years old and has a high revving engine. I assume you can atleast count on the head leaking some. The plugs don't foul, so it is not too leaky (new NGK copper every 30,000 last changed at 120,000). I add a quart every 3k and change oil at the factory recommended 7500 with high mileage oil.

Just to clarify that is really is a sport package/ r package.

And it is an old car that other than timing belt, water pump, new clutch friction disc, and fluid is never been touched so it is not a new engine/rebuild.

If you look at the pictures you will see a cone filter. The stock airbox comes too, so don't worry about trying to find one.

Does it throw a CEL because of the o2 sensor?

 

Yes. That is all it throws though.

I am very tempted to do this, just still alot of work to be done on it (Cosmetic wise). If this doesn't sell and the price drops again, get ahold of me.
