This is my second turbo Miata. The first I sold a few years back. I was looking to rekindle the old flame so I purchased this car on eBay in March of 2010. After spending over $2000 on the stereo, tires, minor fixes, and getting the car licensed, registered, and OBDII inspected, I’ve decided this just isn’t the car for me anymore.

The good: everything above. Car has no mechanical issues that I am aware of. It’s a great little car that pulls strong.

The bad: Has a flood salvage title. Also, the trunk appears to have been replaced at some point. It is functional but you have to close it pretty firmly in order for it to latch.

Other: The tune at 12 psi seems decent. AFRs are around 11.5. In the mid and low boost range, the car seems to run a little rich.

I still got it! Newly inspected too...not that a TX inspection means much in New Mexico.

I will attest that this car seems to be fine, I drove it and it is indeed a fully funtional S4 turboed '02! Car shows average signs of age/use, but I could not really tell anything negative about the water damage.

Yes, the roll bar is included. But wait! Call now and I'll throw in an extra roll bar for FREE!...okay not really. But yes, it does have a roll bar.

It's a great hauler too! I recently picked up a 99 Hood, front & back bumper, trunk and complete door 1,900 miles away. Got there and back in under 2 days and never upset the car.

 

Specifics on the flood title? Not many people want a flood title'd car.

 

No details on flood event. It happened before even the previous owner bought the car. There's minimal evidence of flood damage though.

In any case, a sale is pending. If it falls through I'll post something.
