drewbroo,

Why was the motor rebuilt? Any accidents or a carfax? Can the original seatbelts be used with the seats for daily driving? Would you trust it's reliability on long trips?

Thanks

Regarding cars: I have always had one fun car (that I work on every now and then) and one Daily that I keep stock and boring. Until a few months ago, the daily was always something really cheap and crappy that I didn't give a f**k about, to keep my blood pressure low. I do strongly recommend this if it is possible for you, instead of selling that sweet machine of yours.

Belts:
I use a "bold in harness bar" together with my sports bar (both from hard dog) to attach my shoulder harnesses. It uses the stock belt locations to attach to the chassi. Perhaps it can be used together with your style bar? Even if i DO recommend getting a proper 4 point roll bar.

Good luck whatever you go for.

The motor was rebuilt before a supercharger was put on for longevity purposes. The rods were replaced with GTX Rods also, and JE pistons. Parts came from corksport. It was put together by a builder in Greenville SC. BRP's at the time. (supercharger was removed and sold, by the way)

I have driven the car Down from Tampa to Naples one a 300+ mile trip, and it was fine, with no stutters. (Turbo'd) Once a month I drive it to Sarasota and back no problems either, and gets about 28MPG on the HWY.

The original seat belts can be used with the Sparco sprints, i just would not recommend it.

As for accidents, I know it has been rear ended, and was in a minor accident. Both were repaired by insurance companies, and have lifetime warranties on the work provided. (My wife rubbed a guardrail, and I had most of the car repainted to make sure it all matched.)

BTW, how did you like the Centerforce? You don't hear about them too often on these cars.

I love the Centerforce. It has a nice neutral engagement point, and is as smooth as an OEM clutch.

Which CF did you have? Mine is the stage 3 Dual Friction, holds fine on 12 PSI 240WHP Daily Driving.

How do you like the Koni yellow/Eibach combo?
How do you like the Borla? Do you have a soundclip?
If this were a DD to be tracked 5 times a year, could you live with the harnesses, or would you hate them?

I really like the Koni/ Eibach Combo. The settings can be adjusted to knock your teeth out on every bump, to Caddy comfort setting.

The Borla is nice because its not loud, or intrusive, it can be loud if you are going 80+ on the interstate. A hardtop will fix that though.

Heres a movie of the car on a dyno

I drive the car to work 5 days a week (Unless I'm working the weekend) and have no problem with the harnesses. Also they keep ya from reaching across the car for stuff.
