Honestly. We're fucked on so many levels. You're damned if you do AND you're damned if you don't. So much ignorance on both sides. Blame everyone. In one sense, cheering "U-S-A" has nothing to do with a college football game...it's the truth. Would it make sense to chant U-S-A at a NASCAR race? But in the same sense this "USA" is the same reason you are allowed to have a different religion/view/lifestyle then the person next to you. Who the hell gets offended about a chant expressing the freedoms that allow you to be who you want to be? So who is the ******* retard that thinks "USA" stands for "**** Muslems!"? Because that is what someone out there is accusing it of being. I can even say "**** America! I hope it burns in hell!" under the same circumstances of chanting U-S-A...and I'm 100% American myself with no religious affiliation. When will people get it?

I'm sorry, but if you are so easily offended by what someone else's opinion of your religion, you need to end your life....by yourself.

On the flipside, our government is over there dicking around and sticking it's troops in buisness that has nothing to do with us. We don't need to Americanize anything over there. We don't need to keep the peace over there. They don't need a new government. It's a violent region and has been for thousands of years and it's like the US government is acting like this is something new. Same goes with the US/World media when it comes to reporting the cultural differences between there and other places. Just leave them alone. Not that I have a bleeding heart for them but for that fact that I honestly do not care about them and don't want to have their issues shoved down my throat vis US media.

We, the US, have far too many of our own problems to be sitting around with our thumbs up our asses in other countries.

Oh wait..... oil.

People are too goddamn sensitive these days. Why the **** should anyone care what someone else said about them, their people, their religion, ect. There is very little you could say to me that would upset me, outside of yelling in my face, which would get you a punch only because you were yelling, not because of the message. I make jokes about all races (including my alcoholic and suicidal red man) and religions and don't feel bad about any of it. How some people get all vaginal when someone makes an off the cuff comment about their color is just ridiculous to me. Same for religion. Everyone needs to chill the hell out or something. In this case I will say more people should be like me. I take this kind of **** with a grain of salt and don't let it bother me. I'm also one of the most accepting people of anyone I know, of all people from all walks of life. I don't care about your color, your religion, your sexual preference or any of that, as long as you are a decent human, why does that other **** matter. It's all trivial bullshit that people get hung up on. Unless humanity as a whole can get past this kind of thing, we are doomed.

Dear David Green,
You can easily free yourself from your pain of having to live in this country with a cheaply purchased handgun and ammunition or step in front of a bus.

Deranged Mr. Green,

I spent 3 years touring Afghanistan as a Army Medic, a non combatant and I would like to let you know that I have not only caed for but, saved numerous Enemy Prisoners of War, Afghan Civilians and put my life at great risk to do so. As a Medic my first responsibility is to my Patient no matter who they maybe. I want you to know that even though I sacrificed not only my body but, my mind in this pursuit of saving lives I learned one thing in those 3 years. No matter how much you try to help these people they would not hesitate to Rape and behead you too serve their cause. I would be too happy to set up a fund to collct money to send you to Afghanistan 1st Class so you can experence this culture first hand. A Culture that belevies Woman and Children are not only property but, considered nothing more than live stock. ?If you pick up a copy of Time magazine that shows the young lady from Afghanistan missiing her nose and both ears I would like you to know I flew out and picked her up about 6 hours after that happend to her. I can still hear her screaming in my head to this day. She was mutilated like that because of a slight she made the mistake of making to her husband. You sit comfortably in your classroom talking aboutand commenting on things you know nothing of and probably don’t have the spine to withstand 1 day in the burka of an Afghan woman. I know that you will blow this comment off but, would be more than happy to come to Chicago to debate this issue with you. I am sure you are a good person in their somewhere just terribly misinformed as an educator you should better study and research you subject matter before making such Stupid statements in the future. You have made the University look like morons and I am sure that due to your comments the Military personnel attending or planning to attend will seek their higher education elsewhere as will I. I feel very sorry for you and the University.

With warmest regards,
SGT David King

That great USA chant is what allows him to have and write those views openly.

I don't agree with him, but I would hate a USA that didn't allow him to say what he thinks. What he thinks is stupid, and we should all shun him...but the boldness and pride that comes from KNOWING you are part of a nation found on liberty, expressed in our zeal, allows him to be stupid...and open his mouth.

Take note guys, the link is to a short article WRITTEN NOT BY A MUSLIM but by some ACADEMIC who is concerned about POLITICAL CORRECTNESS.

So don't go ragging on moslems based on that link. You are falling victim to rabble-rousing by a PC zombie.
Go rag on POLITICAL CORRECTNESS and its stranglehold on the universities.

This kind of crap polarizes people who are too stupid to see the contrived nature of the anti moslem and pc arguments.

On the origins of Political Correctness in Universities:

http://www.academia.org/the-origins-...l-correctness/

Quote:
Where does all this stuff that you’ve heard about this morning – the victim feminism, the gay rights movement, the invented statistics, the rewritten history, the lies, the demands, all the rest of it – where does it come from? For the first time in our history, Americans have to be fearful of what they say, of what they write, and of what they think. They have to be afraid of using the wrong word, a word denounced as offensive or insensitive, or racist, sexist, or homophobic.

We have seen other countries, particularly in this century, where this has been the case. And we have always regarded them with a mixture of pity, and to be truthful, some amusement, because it has struck us as so strange that people would allow a situation to develop where they would be afraid of what words they used. But we now have this situation in this country. We have it primarily on college campuses, but it is spreading throughout the whole society. Were does it come from? What is it?

We call it “Political Correctness.” The name originated as something of a joke, literally in a comic strip, and we tend still to think of it as only half-serious. In fact, it’s deadly serious. It is the great disease of our century, the disease that has left tens of millions of people dead in Europe, in Russia, in China, indeed around the world. It is the disease of ideology. PC is not funny. PC is deadly serious.

If we look at it analytically, if we look at it historically, we quickly find out exactly what it is. Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960s and the hippies and the peace movement, but back to World War I. If we compare the basic tenets of Political Correctness with classical Marxism the parallels are very obvious.

Quote:
In 1923 in Germany, a think-tank is established that takes on the role of translating Marxism from economic into cultural terms, that creates Political Correctness as we know it today, and essentially it has created the basis for it by the end of the 1930s.
...
The stuff we’ve been hearing about this morning – the radical feminism, the women’s studies departments, the gay studies departments, the black studies departments – all these things are branches of Critical Theory. What the Frankfurt School essentially does is draw on both Marx and Freud in the 1930s to create this theory called Critical Theory. The term is ingenious because you’re tempted to ask, “What is the theory?” The theory is to criticize. The theory is that the way to bring down Western culture and the capitalist order is not to lay down an alternative. They explicitly refuse to do that. They say it can’t be done, that we can’t imagine what a free society would look like (their definition of a free society). As long as we’re living under repression – the repression of a capitalistic economic order which creates (in their theory) the Freudian condition, the conditions that Freud describes in individuals of repression – we can’t even imagine it. What Critical Theory is about is simply criticizing. It calls for the most destructive criticism possible, in every possible way, designed to bring the current order down. And, of course, when we hear from the feminists that the whole of society is just out to get women and so on, that kind of criticism is a derivative of Critical Theory. It is all coming from the 1930s, not the 1960s.
...
Other key members who join up around this time are Theodore Adorno, and, most importantly, Erich Fromm and Herbert Marcuse
...
Another example is the emphasis we now see on environmentalism. “Materialism as far back as Hobbes had led to a manipulative dominating attitude toward nature.” That was Horkhemier writing in 1933 in Materialismus und Moral. “The theme of man’s domination of nature,” according to Jay, ” was to become a central concern of the Frankfurt School in subsequent years.”
...

How does all of this stuff flood in here? How does it flood into our universities, and indeed into our lives today? The members of the Frankfurt School are Marxist, they are also, to a man, Jewish. In 1933 the ***** came to power in Germany, and not surprisingly they shut down the Institute for Social Research. And its members fled. They fled to New York City, and the Institute was reestablished there in 1933 with help from Columbia University. And the members of the Institute, gradually through the 1930s, though many of them remained writing in German, shift their focus from Critical Theory about German society, destructive criticism about every aspect of that society, to Critical Theory directed toward American society. There is another very important transition when the war comes. Some of them go to work for the government, including Herbert Marcuse, who became a key figure in the OSS (the predecessor to the CIA), and some, including Horkheimer and Adorno, move to Hollywood.
...
In conclusion, America today is in the throes of the greatest and direst transformation in its history. We are becoming an ideological state, a country with an official state ideology enforced by the power of the state. In “hate crimes” we now have people serving jail sentences for political thoughts. And the Congress is now moving to expand that category ever further. Affirmative action is part of it. The terror against anyone who dissents from Political Correctness on campus is part of it. It’s exactly what we have seen happen in Russia, in Germany, in Italy, in China, and now it’s coming here. And we don’t recognize it because we call it Political Correctness and laugh it off. My message today is that it’s not funny, it’s here, it’s growing and it will eventually destroy, as it seeks to destroy, everything that we have ever defined as our freedom and our culture.

I weep for the next generation if they're being taught by idiots like this.

When are these ******* going to realize no matter how nice and politically correct we are to everybody else, we will never receive the same treatment. There's no reciprocity no matter how good we are to other people. People who hate us will still hate us, if not hate us more because we seem weak.

Agreed. Nuke the Middle East into a giant glass bowl and fill it with M&Ms and Hersheys Kisses.
