It'd be one thing if we were all running out into the woods cutting down pine trees, but that's not the case. The tree farms usually have other means of business besides killing mother nature for xmas. Look at it this way, the tree farms save the land from being bought and developed on. So in a way it IS helping nature.

This year now that I have a super high ceiling I want to get a 12 footer. Last year mine was 9ft and it was a BITCH to drag up the hill to get it bundled up. I can only imagine how fun a 12' tree would be to lug around.
