Me: "Who the hell decided that using M9 x 0.5mm thread on this shaft was a good idea? Also, I have proven the existence of hyperspace, as that is the only possible location where the impossible-to-purchase nut which was included with the shaft can now be."

Wow! I've encountered strange threads in many European cars. M9 X 1.0 mm is a rare one but still possible to find.
I've never encountered anything with a 0.5 mm thread pitch in an automotive application.
Microscopically fine.
It might have been an "accounting" decision to force a user to purchase BOTH the shaft and the nut if the nut is not available individually from the manufacture.
More money this way...

Finally found a replacement. An old woman who I met at a rally in support of keeping non-white children locked in cages until they acknowledge that gender is a fictitious concept gave me one in exchange for finding the missing half of her cat which bears a superficial resemblance to Ted Cruz.

White = evil. White is **** and horribleness and colonialism and patriarchy and spray-tanned elected officials.
Non-white = good. Non-white is victim of the evil patriarchal oppressor.
And they're clearly being victimized by horrible white person putting them into the cages which his non-white predecessor had constructed for this purpose.
Except it's ok now, since a different white person is now doing the in-cage-putting, because he says he feels bad about it.
