You can't operate in bad faith and not expect consequences.
You have failed to present the full argument here. The party that held the presidency did not control the senate. The outcome was known, or should have been. Garland would not be confirmed by a republican senate. Perhaps the dims believed there would be some defectors, like Murkowski or Romney, so they tried anyway. Why go through all the grueling bullshit if the vote was going to be No? With the RBG replacement, the presidency and senate were both held by republicans. The dims would have done exactly the same thing.

Well Twitter sure took care of James for messing with their good buddy CNN. That'll teach him for spreading lies.

Now CNN can continue to "aggressively cover allegations made against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) 'to keep hurting him' because he is a 'problem' for the Democrat Party and that it would be 'great' for Democrats if he was removed from Congress," unchecked, like journalism should be.

I'm kind of a gypsy, I suppose. It really hit me a few months ago, when I was looking at the "my saved addresses" page on Amazon. Well, "page" is a misnomer. It was more than one page.

My current drivers license was issued in 2016. Yes, it's expired. I didn't realize this until recently, but fortunately IL has a 12 month grace period thing going on, because COVID. Planning to visit the license office to pay the fee in a few weeks.

Anyway, my license presently says that I live at 655 W. Irving Park Road # 5304. I really loved that apartment in a lot of ways (great view, for starters, and you got to feel subtly superior to a lot of people when you hit the "53" button on the elevator), but the parking situation sucked, and the traffic was horrible on days when the Cubs were playing at home.

Short story long: I have had three different addresses since then. And yes, I've updated the state each time (except for the one where I wasn't living in IL), and yes, they've not sent me an updated license each time.

My FOID card does have my current address on it, but I've never really been comfortable showing that as a form of "government issued ID" at any business which doesn't expect to see it. And I'm sure that, given historical trends, it won't be long before that address goes into the "former" pile as well.

Quick count here...

In the past ten years, I've had ten "permanent" addresses.

That seems weird, but I've done the math twice.

One of my very good friends once described me as "the whitest Hispanic guy I've ever met." I forgave her this insult. But I'm not sure whether I can accuse Burger King of racism on the grounds that Hispanics often don't have ID which shows their current address.

Suggestions?

I have no intention of dining at Burger King. Sorry if that wasn't clear earlier. I was just hoping I could accuse someone of racism, and maybe eek out a few shekels in the process.

That's only applicable on unimportant issues . . . like voting.

Q: Name one good thing about Bernie Sanders.

A: As a matter of actuarial statistics, he's already dead.
