Literally everything about this present madness has been overblown, by those on all sides of all of the now-politicized issues surrounding it.

As is tradition.

I'd be curious if there is actually that much equipment left behind, or it's what contractors said they built.

I used to work in the Defense Industry, it's horrifically wasteful. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a bunch of cover up to funnel more money into the DOD.

This is going to greatly depress the secondary market for the Toyota Hilux, which opens up some interesting possibilities.

Masks don't work. When you're using t-shirt material to stop sub-microscopic particles....oh boy, the dumb just keeps on coming.

What does the actual maintenance schedule for a Hilux look like?
.
  • Every 10 years or 1,000,000 km: remove accumulated gravel from crankcase.

the top 5% is ruining it for the rest of us.

https://www.thecollegefix.com/despit...ime-last-year/

Despite 95% vaccination rate, Cornell today has five times more COVID cases than it did this time last year

JOSEPH SILVERSTEIN - CORNELL UNIVERSITY •SEPTEMBER 4, 2021

Cornell University has aggressively pushed its students to get vaccinated, announcing a vaccine mandate for the 2021-22 academic year in April and frequently denying religious and medical exemptions.

As a result, 95 percent of the campus population, both students and faculty, is vaccinated.

Despite this, Cornell University has more than five times the amount of confirmed positive cases during its first week of this academic year than it did during its first week of the 2020-21 academic year, according to the Cornell COVID dashboard.

By the numbers, during the first week of school that ran from Aug. 27 to Sept. 2 of this academic year, Cornell reported 322 positive COVID-19 cases.

In comparison, during the first week of school last year, which ran from Sept. 3 through Sept. 9 of 2020, Cornell reported 59 positive COVID-19 cases.

That is 263 more cases, or more than five times the amount of positive cases, when comparing the first week of school.

Most students attended in-person classes in the fall of 2020 and were required to wear masks, just like this academic year. The increase in positive cases cannot be attributed to an increase in testing — in fact, more tests were administered in the first week last fall, according to the Cornell COVID dashboard.

...

In before moved goalposts...

It's almost like when you code a vaccination to only one spike protein, during the beginning stages of an epidemic, allowing the vaccine resistant strain to become dominate and your vaccine worthless... But if you get another booster of the vaccine that doesn't have an affect on Delta, you'll be okay against Mu.

here's a good analogy:

A more likely explanation, though, is also more idiotic (on their part).

Say you have a town overrun with alsatians and malamutes- together, maybe 85% of the stray dogs are these two breeds. The remaining 15% are pugs, beagles, and pomeranians.

Some genius in animal control- selfless, out to protect the public health, of course- decides that we can catch and put down all the stray animals they find that have long snouts and pointy ears. That's what a stray dog looks like in this town, after all- people see the strays all the time, and that's what all the reports say they look like.

After a few months, great success! All those terrible, scary, pointy-eared, long-snouted strays are gone, or nearly so!

But where did all these small, smushed-faced, round-eared menaces come from?! They're nearly all the strays now! What do we do?! PANIC! PANIC! IT'S DIFFERENT NOW, AND THAT'S SCARY!!!1!

Even assuming for the sake of argument the vaccines have any appreciable effect as ostensibly intended over a population, that's more or less been the big-brained plan for COVID. It's moronic.

In Wake Of Cuomo Scandal, Entire Time’s Up Board Resigns, Including Eva Longoria And Shonda Rhimes

By Megan Basham

Sep 6, 2021
After weeks of silence, several celebrities associated with the anti-harassment group Time’s Up are finally reacting to revelations that top leaders helped former New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo smear an accuser. On Saturday, the entire governing board, including Eva Longoria, Shonda Rhimes, and Jurnee Smollett (actress and sister of Jussie Smollett), announced they were resigning.

In a statement, Longoria, Rhimes, and Smollett insisted that the mission of Time’s Up is still “to support the goal of safe, fair, dignified work for all women.” They called the New York attorney general’s revelations, which found CEO Tina Tchen advised Cuomo on a letter that would have discredited his former staffer Lindsey Boylan’s claims, a “crisis” that offers “an important opportunity for growth and change.”
It's almost like this was a scam organization meant to smear conservatives/republicans, while letting democrats off the hook while also advising them on how to smear accusers! almost.
