IMHO, the only plausible explanation is they are trying to incite Trump's supporters into violence. Nothing so far has worked. Not the incompetent, diversity picked cabinet, FBI rounding up non-violent Trump supporters in the middle of the night, hinting at taking our gas stoves, open Southern border, forcing untested vaccines on people who don't want or need them, colluding with the Chyneeese, billions to Ukraine and nothing for East Palestine, Pride month, Drag shows for children, groomers in elementary schools, etc., etc. AND, as long as we don't do anything violent, whatever they do they get away with. Win-win for them.

What I fear more, however, is the left's violent tactics. BLM and Antifa riots went unpunished. Now we have angry, armed transvestites who seemingly don't care about dying over incorrect pronoun usage. The escalation is accelerating at an accelerating rate. What's next? Karens with flamethrowers?

 

Aren't those essentially the same?

I reread my post and had another thought... maybe the reason Bragg was chosen to present such an inane case against Trump is that it is supposed to fail. Then, the MSM presents the news the case is dropped, Trump is a free man, and he will probably be re-elected. The LEFT would go bat-**** crazy violent so Obama can finally declare Marshall Law and take our guns away.

I was thinking today about the claims being made by some that Donald Trump, and the Republican Party as a whole, represent a grave threat to American democracy.

And it occurred to me that the people making these claims are actually correct. And for a fairly simple reason.

One of the possible outcomes of a fair, democratic process is that people at the far-right end of the political spectrum may be elected into office.

From the point of view of the far-left, having these people in office is such an intolerable state of affairs, that dismantling the democratic process in favor of single-party autocratic rule may seem preferable to allowing those with non-leftist philosophies to continue being permitted the opportunity to elect politicians who claim to represent their beliefs.

The existence of a political party which opposes the far-left does in fact threaten the foundations of democracy, so long as those on the far-left are willing to destroy their own country in order to prevent it from being governed by someone who they dislike.

 

Jugs are important. Sometimes when it's really quiet in cubicleland, I'll say "I like *****" in a slightly quieter than normal voice, just to see what happens.

My hope was was, given another short space of time, you would be pretty amazing and able to modify your piece of artwork, to perfectly illustrate my bizarre and random jugs statement, and turn it into a more amusing gag.
