The Environmental Protection Agency's proposal to replace more lead service lines in the US within 10 years is a step in the right direction, but it doesn't go far enough to protect public health and needs to be strengthened, wrote attorneys general from 13 states and Washington, D.C. They identified several areas for improvement, including a provision that caps mandated replacements for large systems to 10,000 service lines per year. At that rate, it could take Chicago nearly 45 years to replace all of its lead service lines.
I'm contemplating inner city children and adults and if lead exposure is lowering their IQ and making them more violent than suburban and rural dwellers. I'm sure there are too many variables to pin it down. Measures of intellect went up and violence went down in this country after lead was removed from motor vehicle fuel and that is what prompted the thought.

It is a real disservice that we are not replacing lead water pipes for quickly in these cities.

I'm satisfied that, as you noted, the correlation between leaded motor fuel and depressed mental capacity is fairly well-established.

I am dissatisfied by the fact that there appears to be a hugely positive correlation between childhood lead-consumption and the production of legendary blues musicians in Chicago.

Here in Chicago, the use of lead pipe for residential mains connections was actually mandated by local code until 1986. My own house has lead pipe, though of course I have filters rated for the removal of lead and other heavy metals.

Interestingly, the city has afforded me the opportunity to perform a single-blind study on the effectiveness of said filters, by offering free lead test-kits.

Of course, this presupposes that I trust the results of the city's lead tests.

At some point, you have to commit to trusting something, or else you wind up becoming the Goblin King and naming Braineack as your successor (in the event of the death of David Bowie.)

Artistic rendition of me, impatiently waiting for Braineack to take the bait on the Hur Report:

When they refer to lead pipe do they actually mean copper piper that was connected using lead/tin at the joints or a copper pipe material that was alloyed with lead?

Nope. Good ole' fashioned pure lead, periodic symbol Pb, from the Latin word plumbum, from which the English "plumbing" is derived.

Lead, of course, is more malleable and flexible than copper or tungsten, making it less prone to breakage in areas which regularly experience extremes of temperature, or seismic activity. This is the reason why it was so commonly specified not just in residential construction, but in distribution as well.

And it's really not a massive problem if your water supply is relatively ph-neutral. The real problems come when dipshit city managers decide to stop paying for good water from a known-reliable source and instead decide to fill their pipes with cat **** without also adding corrosion-inhibiters, causing the lead to start to dissolve into the water.

This is Newspeak. This is 1984 in real life. How do I know? Everyone reads the crazy and just goes on with their day.

John Brennan used the intelligence community from "five eyes" countries in order to create a scenario where the CIA/FBI/alphabet organizations could spy on candidate, president-elect and then president Trump. This is straight-up TREASON.

Even on my phone I can see differing font darkness and visual discrepancies on that "document".

It's fairly easy to lie to people, when the lie contains that which they desire to hear.

The propagandists on the far-right side know this just as well as those on the far-left, and their audiences are equally willing to accept them.

Source: literally all of modern history.

A quick reverse-image search on Tineye shows copies of the above photo in circulation since at least 2018, and them seem to ultimately trace back to 4chan.

We shall see. Obviously a document like this , and others, would have been around for quite a while. And does it fit the narrative that Trump was spied on? Yep. Was he spied on? Yep. There's proof from many sources. And yet everyone has become so numb to it that there don't seem to be consequences anymore.
