A constitutional republic and that is why it is so important not to let our constitution become degraded.

It's honestly pretty clever that they're pairing Harris' events with preexisting shows of popular artists (Meg the Stalion and most recently Bon Iver) but they're still doctoring images of the turnouts.

Gotta make the steal believable to the mouth-breathers.

that first picture is so obviously fake.

they have been getting better since Biden's hand-through-the-microphone-boom videos in 2021.

Yesterday, I came upon an article entitled "why gasoline prices are expected to continue falling..." or something to that effect. Basically praising the incredible economy which we 100% owe to the Biden-Harris administration.

As I drove to work this morning, I snapped this photo, while thinking to myself "Falling? When is that expected to start?"

Oh, right... The US's national petroleum reserve is still 40% below the level it was at when Biden assumed office in 2021. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/fact-...170000593.html

Interestingly, despite this administrations' promises to fight climate change, prioritize renewable energy, and decrease reliance on fossil fuels, US oil production reached an *all-time record high* of 13.4 million barrels per day just last week. https://ir.eia.gov/wpsr/overview.pdf

Remember, folks, #VoteBlue this November, because they have big corporations' best interests in mind.

The military hardware contractors sure have done well under vote blue. Aren't they the party of peace and hating military budgets? So much hypocrisy.

I seriously hate both sides because of the corruption. It's awful.

The trouble I face is that so many people have become so very strongly aligned with one party or the other that they can no longer recognize objectivity.

If you criticize the MAGA party, then you much be a liberal cuck, like I am.

If you criticize the Blue party, then you must be a hateful ****, like I am.

The pendulum swings both ways.

If our main source of information is a biased (tainted) media, then at least some portion of our understanding is flawed, be it blue or red. It's impossible to be entirely left or entirely right and still be righteous.

Beyond that, there has been a distinct effort to dehumanize and devalue the actual lives of people who hold different opinions from one another. That is a very scary proposition. I realize that Judaism and Islam taught/teach that, and the ***** employed it, before someone says it is nothing new. It is just profound how widespread it is becoming.

A couple of weeks ago, after working in the yard for a couple hours and breaking a good sweat, I decided to reward myself by walking down to my neighbor’s pub to have a cold mid-afternoon beer and chat with him. Unfortunately, I was wearing my Shooting Sports Academy t-shirt. This is not normally a problem in Maine unless, like that day, one of the female “effin summer people” from New York stops in for a Chardonnay. It was obviously not her first or even fourth of the day, so eventually I was creating a scene.

I’m apparently responsible for the decline of everything, and didn’t realize what my type is “doing to our democracy.”
Asking how she defines democracy did not make it better.

How these people can face life is beyond me, although I suppose drunken afternoons and watching Rachel Maddow is part of it.
My personal politics are cynical and contemptuous of both Republicans and Democrats, and both sides proudly earned it.

How about all parties? Is there anyone who honestly thinks that ANY politician from any party (green, libertarian, socialist, communist, whatever) is acting in the best interest of the People that voted them to their position? Do any of them ever act like they are supposed to be civil servants other than when elections are coming up?

So really, is there any other way to reasonably be anything other than a cynic?

Some entity or entities do not want unity in this country. It would be too difficult to control and profit from us. It is most likely our military driven by countries that are adversarial or countries that resist our control.

When dealing with someone who has different political views try to remind yourself if we did not have these differences we would have one dominant policy which would eventually become extreme.

I honestly don’t care about what anyone’s politics are - my general feeling is “don’t hurt anybody else, and leave me a-freaking-lone,” and we’ll be fine. But if you want to get in my grill because you care so damn much, you can expect a less-relaxed response.

I’m not saying one should be a pushover and except being disrespected. I just believe there is a function or benefit to an opposing view for balance. Obviously this country is not balanced and has moved too far in the progressive direction which is hurting our individuality. In the last 10-20yrs we have lost so much. We are not our person, we have become property.

I cannot accept this as a legitimate stand in the current political environment.

I don't know which is worse, people who vote for the party/politicians that believe minor school children can make decisions about their sexuality without consulting their parents because they agree with that position, or people who vote for the party/politicians that believe minor school children can make decisions about their sexuality without consulting their parents because they hate Trump. I can replace children's sexuality with any number of issues--open borders, late term abortion, soft on crime, drag queen story hour, the green new scam, etc.

Both groups should rot in hell. I can muster no respect for those positions.

The libertarians are interested in reducing the power, money, and influence of government and believe the individual's rights are most important. I don't think they are running for the money.

I consider myself to be a Libertarian, insomuch as my political ideology is "Consenting adults can do whatever they want, so long as they're not infringing on someone else's liberty, or demanding that someone else pay for it."

I suspect that if the Libertarian party were to win and hold onto the executive and a majority of the legislature, then the US would enjoy a period of peace and prosperity unknown within living memory, until eventually sliding back into the same situation we are in today, as the party became corrupt with power and wealth.

It's unavoidable. The only completely stable forms of government are hereditary monarchies and military dictatorships, and even those only for so long until the population eventually rise up, or until they are displaced by an external force.

The political party itself is the true enemy. And, yet, what alternative does a large and heterogeneous nation have?

Politicians, like diapers, should be changed often, and for the same reason.

I wasn’t talking about my political philosophy, just about people who want to belabor their beliefs with me, uninvited. “Don’t hurt anybody else” applies especially to kids. If there is a hell, it’s probably not bad enough for people who f*ck over children to make themselves feel superior.

I wasn't either.

If my best friend from high school, the guy that was best man at my wedding, (we did a lot of stupid **** together) told me he was excited about voting for the Harris/Walz ticket, I could no longer consider him a friend.

I believe most of what the democrats want is evil. There's no way I could convince myself that since my best friend was voting for them, they must have some redeeming qualities.
