Maybe his watch was correct and it was am, not pm when it was recorded. I don’t believe he was being honest about the speech being live. There was a blip in the video feed which makes me think there was some editing. Also it is highly unlikely that he gave a speech at 7:30pm. Maybe I’m wrong, we’re there any witnesses?

Something which just occurred to me...

We can safely assume that a number of pro-Trump PACs are currently working on Federal lawsuits, which they will file as soon as the DNC crowns its new nominee in a few weeks.

The Courts will then be tasked with the possibility of needing to disqualify a candidate from appearing on the general-election ballot. (Sound familiar?)

If that does happen, then apart from a lot of mostly-peaceful protesting, there will be a completely novel and unique situation: one in which a major-party candidate runs effectively un-opposed, because the government has manipulated the electoral system into creating what is, in practice, a single-party ballot.



That would be bad.
