I don't get it. Why is the handle sight from an M16/AR-15 on an AK-47 style rifle?
I'm glad I went to a school where that crap didn't occur. I remember my AP Gov teacher wouldn't tell us what his political opinion/affectation was, and teachers weren't allowed to talk about there religion.
I remember when a member of the Ky state legislature came into that class to discuss our government, a student asked this member of the legislature (a congressmen I think) about mountain top removal (a method of getting coal, and a hotly debated issue in Kentucky as it ***** so many people over), the congressmen was flustered by the question and gave a complete bullshit non answer. The high school senior asked again in a different way, trying to get the seasoned politician to give a straight answer, which never happened. Eventually the teacher hand to call off the student so the congressmen could answer some more questions before leaving, obviously somewhat irritated at being put in between a lump of coal and a hard place by a high school kid no older then 18. That was about when stuff started to change and new people started getting elected.

No, but if a HS student with above average intellect can figure it out by looking at widely available facts, then a man who's job it is to know things about his state, especially things that potentially harm his constituents, should damn well better know something about the issue. However, he did know about the issue, but he was probably elected with $ that came from coal companies, so he didn't give a **** if the tap water in Appalachia is clean enough to use.
Politicians aren't economists either, but do you not expect them to make wise economic decisions?

Part of issue 2 was making collective bargaining illegal. That would mean no unions whatsoever, no prospect for unions, and no way for workers to get together to protest any unfair or unsafe workplace practices. I can probably agree with you that some unionized employees are probably over payed, but that does not mean that everybody should suffer for it.

Good things the unions spent $30 million dollars to fight against localities being able to controll health & pension costs, institute merit-based pay, and to empower leaders with some flexibility/creativity to solve budget problems which would have prevented these layoffs. good thing.

minneapolis – last week marked the beginning of contract talks between minneapolis public schools and the minneapolis federation of teachers, the local teachers union.
But this time around there’s a third voice that wants input at the bargaining table.
A coalition of concerned citizens is hoping to pressure the school board and the teachers union into changing the way teachers are hired, fired, evaluated, and assigned to classrooms.
The coalition, known as contract for student achievement, is comprised of parents, pastors, business leaders, elected officials and taxpayers who want mps’ staffing decisions to reflect the best interests of students, instead of school employees.

It's pretty cool how the ATF gave weapons to the drug cartels, knowing they were going to wind up in crime and murder of US citizens and ICE so that they then could create laws to restrict gun sales/ownership. Good job White House. When is the impeachment? You're now killing your own armed forces to sponsor legislation.
