1. The narrative is not it "wouldnt" have happened, but only that something could have potentially been averted or stopped.

I believe you and & I are preaching the same message here: in order to curb the effects of knife-violence, we need a citizenry which carries knives and is trained in knife-fighting.

Even her own supporters don't think she's a nice person or will have any altruistic intentions. They think she's a self-serving, heartless bitch. But they believe she will push their agenda forward. It's a dangerous gamble. The communists and ardent socialists (Bernie's Kids) know she's being bankrolled by big business and they hate it. They hate the rigged game of the established two party system just like the tea party folks hated it on the right side of the aisle. If Bernie had broken ranks and split to run independently, they would have been up the creek, just as if the GOP chose to endorse someone over Trump and he went independent. We are getting closer to a third and fourth viable party every day. I don't think a faction could take over one of the two majors because of the powers behind the scenes.

PHILADELPHIA—In response to the Vermont senator calling upon all Democrats to come together to assure the party’s victory in the presidential election this November, thousands of Bernie Sanders supporters were reportedly left deeply aggravated Monday after he didn’t use his Democratic National Convention speech to encourage voters to act against their own self-interest.
“I just don’t understand why he didn’t go up there, be honest about everything that’s wrong with this election, and tell us all to take an action that would inflict deep and lasting harm on ourselves by reversing the policies and values we’ve been pushing so hard to expand,” said Kyle Jorgenson, echoing the sentiment of numerous angry supporters who hoped, especially after the recent leak of emails revealing the Democratic National Committee’s bias against Sanders, that the candidate would urge them to approach this year’s election in a way that would result in the immediate erosion of so much of what they believe in and hold dear.
“He really should have taken a stand and declared that if the Democrats aren’t willing to nominate a true progressive, then we should all engage in behavior that ultimately serves to benefit a candidate diametrically opposed to those ideals. I can’t believe he would drop the ball on encouraging us to completely disregard the kind of world we’ll be forced to live in for the next four to eight years and instead act out in shortsighted petulance.”
Irritated supporters then called upon those who still believed in progressivism to take the necessary measures to set back society for decades to come.
I just got off the phone with one of my engineers who is at the satellite uplink truck at the DNC in Philly.
Our trucks use a 30A RV-style power connector on the side for shore power, and when the roof A/C and the uplink transmitter are both running, they draw every bit of that 30A.
At the convention, the trucks are provided with 50A 3 phase shore power, and a variety of adapters are made available.
The genuises running my truck plugged an adapter into the 50A supply which converted it into a 120V 15A edison receptacle, then plugged a 15A extension cord into that, then plugged a 15A to 30A adapter into that, and then plugged that into the truck.
Now, a lot of times you can get away with **** like this. But today, pulling 30A across a 15A extension cord did the thing they warn you it will do if you try that.
Fortunately, the fire was small and quickly extinguished.
Unfortunately, the TV truck and fire were both inside the "sterile zone" of the democratic national convention, with secret service weenies everywhere, and a few dozen other TV trucks. And it's got my station's logo plastered all over it. I assume that we will be a sidebar item on a lot of newscasts tonight...
Maryland's own former governor and self proclaimed cyber security expert Martin Owe'malley says it was definitely the Russians that hacked the dnc and is in collusion with Trump. I guess this is the distraction narrative?
Start here, with a big ole' 3 phase (wye) 50a shore power box. Plug into it a breakout cable that splits the 3 phases into three pair of 120v 15a 5-15 sockets, and plug a 15A extension cord into that:
Now, plug in a cable to go from 5-15P to L5-30R:

And then plug into that the truck cable which converts to the non-NEMA Hubbell connector that we use (an RV-type bulkhead plug):
Molten plastic isn't supposed to be dripping out of the plug, right?
On the bright side the adapters dont cross any of the wires. I know plenty of adapters that will physically fit but will cross the wires because they are made for a different system entirely.
