the federalist papers =/= the constitution.
you'd think that ******* would have learned something from 7 years as the president on West Wing...
Trump is more than competent...i mean, he's no community organizer, but that's close. I bet every single one of these people who have gladly gone on celebrity apprentice. It's not like they had any regular income coming in recently...

It will be very interesting how Turkey handles this. Has any real info come out about the shooter and if he is connected to ISIS? If Turkey can prove that it was a crack pot, and not someone affiliated with Erdogan, they may be able to come out of this decently. Well at least they may be able to get it so Russia does not crush them, and then get in a fight with NATO.

i mean im sure he was a refugee who was gladly accepted into the country with open arms, and given a job as a police officer with open arms, and like free obamamoney and stuffz
22 year old off duty riot police officer.
Apparently he took two days off of his annual leave.
He used his police ID to gain access to the exhibit.
Nothing makes sense so far.
Law enforcement leaves have been cancelled since the coup attempt in July.
Also, he had just one gun and limited ammo. They could have captured him alive, but chose to kill the **** out of him.
Russia is cautious, they are using extremely diplomatic language.
BTW, the assassin is not a refugee.

Speaking of whining about the electoral college. Listening to Pandora at work and this gem plays.

Calls for Trump to be voted down by members of the Electoral College were roundly ignored on Monday – with only two 'faithless' Republican electors rejecting the president-elect and four deserting Democrat Hillary Clinton.
ROFL, they listened to you Martin Sheen!
Yep. This future secretary of defense is a war-mongering, uneducated loose cannon. We should all be very afraid. Lol.
It's always been amusing to me as I grew up knowing generals and colonels just how the left generally regards them as not being scholarly or learned in multiple disciplines. See also- almost every movie from Hollywood except Hunt for Red October.

I did find his comments about the size of our Navy to be a bit perplexing. I know he is far from the first person to claim our Navy is too small and in need of expansion but I still struggle to understand how that is grounded in reality. Our Navy is so much larger than the next player, China, that it's not even funny. Beyond just pure size we also have massive technological, training, experience, and infrastructure advantages over everyone else as well. I feel like on this particular point his military perspective bias is strong. We don't need to be equipped to take ALL of our enemies at the same time by ourselves. This is why we have alliances with countries that share similar interests.
His comments regarding PTSD were also very interesting. He kind of just dismisses that it's a problem by pointing out that it doesn't affect everyone the same way and some people come back from war and do great things. He doesn't even address all of the veterans that have crippling depression and turn to substance abuse to cope because the VA is so inadequate that they cannot always get access to the proper support. I felt this part of the interview really shows that mentality with a lot of the older generation that mental illnesses really only affect the weak minded and they should just learn to deal. It is exemplified with his use of the Chamberlain quote, ""War is for the participants a test of character: it makes bad men worse and good men better." It came across as dismissive and out of touch with the reality of the situation as he was not so subtly implying that those that suffer PTSD were "bad men" because obviously war didn't make them better but worse.
