And if there was less money controlled by Congress to be distributed as payback to campaign contributors, then the only way to peddle huge amounts influence for cash would be as Secretary of state. No wait, that would be illegal.

For the first time, a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs hospital is opening a clinic for transgender patients.
Transgender veterans will be able to receive primary care, hormonal therapy, mental health care and other services at The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, starting this month.
Dr. Megan McNamara, a primary care and women's health doctor who began working with transgender patients a couple of years ago, will head up the clinic. Her team will be made up of other VA staffers including a nurse, psychologist and social worker.
"As far as we know, this is the first dedicated transgender clinic" in the Veterans Affairs medical system, McNamara said in a statement provided by the medical center.
The clinic ribbon-cutting ceremony today marks a move forward for the VA medical system, Evan Young, president of the Transgender American Veterans Association (TAVA), told CBS News.

Bernie Sanders has purchased his third house – a move that has drawn mass criticism and trolling from social media users.
Vanity Fair confirms the purchase, reporting that Sanders purchased a four-bedroom home on the shore of Lake Champlain for $600,000 – more than three times the median American home price.The proceeds reportedly came from the sale of a home his wife inherited.
Sanders now owns three properties – one in Burlington, Vermont and another in Capitol Hill, D.C.

The man investigators say is responsible for the tragic ending of a birthday celebration has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison to face murder charges in the death of a 16-year-old boy.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Darius Plummer, 16, of Baton Rouge. Louisiana State Police identified the suspect as Octavio Bringas, 49. He is charged with second-degree murder.

He said that he was "not coming back and would not talk to police," Bringas allegedly told a relative.
The probable cause report notes that Bringas is an "undocumented person living in the United States."
The Louisiana State Police Fugitive Apprehension Task Force captured Bringas along I-10 in Lake Charles less than three hours after the shooting. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center, state police said.
Bringas is believed to be the father of the friend Plummer was visiting. Bringas told detectives he was playing with a gun when he mistakenly fired it.
It's not an easy pill for the Plummer family to swallow.
"Why would a grown man be playing with a gun around a kid anyway? Why? For what?" Ambrose asked.

The company goes on to warn, “due to potential cultural sensitivities, the quality may vary.”Subsequently, thousands of hysterical Twitter users have taken to the site to voice their displeasure.
