Seen this morning on my way to work:

The logo on the side says "Department of Revenue." The sign on the back says "Do not follow."

Paranoid much?

Seriously, what is this fixation with you and Flynn? Did he steal the code to a bunch of videogames that your company owns?

What a non-event.

So Carter Page may have a basis for a civil suit but doubful it will happen because then the rest of the story will come out. The most damning part of all, at least to me without knowing the rest of the story, is the last sentence and maybe the rational with McCabe's exit stage left. So now we can wait for the Democratic response.

If you care document is attached.

#fakememo.

the politicalization of the FBI by the Clinton machine to #nevertrump is kinda a big deal.

Clinton and the Democrats literally colluded with gun-welding gov't agencies to undermine the election. Then created #fakenews for their useful idiots to believe it was the Republicans colluding with Russia doing it.

but despite the odds stacked up, Americans held true.

The problem with many of the politicians is the same one that exists with many of the professional athletes, actors, musicians, people who are on television. They've been told far too often that they are above the common Man and have come to believe it. They are used to exceptions being made to the rules for them and the more those exceptions are made the worse they become. Hillary, and many others, honestly believed that she was above the law. People were afraid of that woman. They had seen what had happened to Vince Foster and the others.

liberalism is cancer:

nice backhanded apology. Remember kids, it's not heartless to create class/race wars in order to gain power without any real intention to help others as well as taking from which you didn't earn, but it is heartless to vote against a mob trying to take advantage of a minority.

I want someone to ask her what year it is:

SCANDAL ROCKS POPE FRANCIS
by Kevin Ryan

Pope Francis' advisors say he knew about sexual abuse by a Chilean reverend, despite the Pope’s recent denial. In a breaking Associated Press story, member’s of the Pope’s own sex-abuse commission say he did indeed receive word in 2015 about allegations that a bishop he appointed had witnessed and was complicit in the sexual abuse by the reverend.

...
A 2015 photo has even emerged showing a member of the pope’s Commission for the Protection of Minors hand-delivering an 8 page testimony of the crimes to Francis’ top abuse adviser, Cardinal Sean O’Malley. A press release issued after the April 12, 2015, meeting read: “Cardinal O’Malley agreed to present the concerns of the subcommittee to the Holy Father.”

O’Malley later told the commission, as well as the accuser, that he had given the letter to the pope and spoke with him of the concerns.

This contradicts Pope Francis’s recent claim to reporters that no victims had come forward in the case. “You, in all good will, tell me that there are victims, but I haven’t seen any, because they haven’t come forward,” he said on the plane ride home from his trip to South America last month.

The pope was asked about his defense of Bishop Juan Barros, who is accused by victims of covering up the abuse by the Rev. Fernando Karadima. Barros allegedly witnessed Karadima kissing and fondling young priests, including himself, as well as teens and minors “innumerable times,” yet covered up the actions.

Barros recently denied the allegations, telling AP “I never knew anything about, nor ever imagined, the serious abuses... I have never approved of nor participated in such serious, dishonest acts.”

Yet courts and even the Vatican found the victim claims to be credible. Still, Pope Francis has repeatedly dismissed criticism of his decision to elevate Barros to the position of bishop, once again saying on Jan. 21 that “No one has come forward. They haven’t provided any evidence for a judgment. This is all a bit vague. It’s something that can’t be accepted,” and describing the accusations as “calumny”.

to be fair, he was probably too busy tweeting about trump while sexing a minor to pretend to care about this reverend.

the way I see it, touching children is a holy thing.

I work hard so my your children don't have to:

U.S. city to experiment with ?universal basic income?

The mayor of Stockton, California, is leading an experiment with “universal basic income,” which is set to start by giving low-income residents $500 a month, no questions asked.

Mayor Michael Tubbs calls his city “ground zero” for issues like wage stagnation, rising housing prices and loss of middle-class jobs that affect the nation.

The Central Valley city went bankrupt in 2012, and for decades it has been trying to diversify its agriculture-based economy.

“I feel that as mayor it’s my responsibility to do all I could to begin figuring out what’s the best way to make sure that folks in our community have a real economic floor,” Tubbs said.

Dorian Warren serves as co-chairman the Economic Security Project, which is contributing $1 million to the initiative. He said the goal is to gather data on the economic and social impacts of giving people a basic income.

In addition to tracking what residents do with the money, Warren said they will be monitoring how a basic income affects things like self-esteem and identity.

“What does it mean to say, ‘Here is unconditional guaranteed income just based on you being a human being?'” Warren asked. The hope is to demonstrate the potential of “universal basic income,” or UBI, as it is being called, and to encourage other places to give it a try. UBI has recently gotten a boost from Silicon Valley moguls concerned about income inequality and the future of society, but the idea isn’t actually all that new, said Michelle Anderson, a Stanford law professor.

“UBI was first pitched by Nixon as an answer to post-industrial job losses,” she saidWith this experiment, Anderson said Stockton may discover it gets more economic stimulus by giving money to its citizens rather than corporations it hopes will bring in jobs and tax revenue.

“The UBI that is being proposed in Stockton now is very small compared to the big corporate subsidies that cities like that engage in,” Anderson said.

Stockton racked up millions in debt on development projects in the past, which got the city into trouble, said Tubbs.

“We’ve overspent on things like arenas and marinas and things of that sort to try to lure in tourism and dollars that way,” he said.

Tubbs thinks the UBI experiment will show that Stockton’s best bet is to invest in its own people.

If only the concept of a universal basic income had actually been tried in practice before, we'd be able to make some reasonable guesses as to its outcome in this specific case.

Their moral superiority supersedes human nature and economic realities.

Universal Basic Income was not a central tenet of Soviet-style socialism, which is what I assume the "bread line" inference to evoke.
