Have we actually managed to get to the point where we've actually managed to boomerang back to considering Newt a third time?

I honestly just immediately dismissed him because he was named Newt and looks like a douche bag. But anyone that hates the poor is cool in my book.

Newt got kicked out of his own party for being too corrupt.

Seriously, I'm not ------- with you. He's too corrupt for his fellow politicians.

No, he stole money from his own non-profits.

A deal was cut like Sarah Palin's - resign, no charges.

Well in the last video he wants them to get jobs. And we all know poor people hate jobs. Or else they would not be poor.

Do you see how long and fast this thread is? If I read every reply ever I'd shoot myself.

Plus that is the worst possible "proof" I have ever seen.

Newt is the ONLY person from congress ever to be removed from the position of Speaker.

Let me reiterate for emphasis, EVER.

Like Palin, he only evaded criminal charges because he agreed to resign instead.

So the 75 ethics charges against him had nothing to do with payback for getting Democrat Speaker Jim Wright to resign?

and he was cleared, in 1999, of the last charge (the only one that stuck) in which he had to pay the $300,000 fine...FWIW.

I would not say that he was "Cleared" of anything if he had to pay a 300k fine, Brainy.

Republicans lost five seats in the House in the 1998 elections—the worst midterm performance in 64 years for a party that didn't hold the presidency. Polls showed that Gingrich and the Republican Party's attempt to remove President Clinton from office was deeply unpopular among voters.[72] Gingrich suffered much of the blame for the election loss. Facing a rebellion in the Republican caucus, he announced on November 5, 1998, that he would not only stand down as Speaker, but would leave the House as well.[73]

Gingrich made this announcement only a day after being elected to an 11th term from his district. Commenting on his departure, Gingrich said, "I'm willing to lead but I'm not willing to preside over people who are cannibals. My only fear would be that if I tried to stay, it would just overshadow whoever my successor is."[74]
Seems like his party was pissed they weren't doing well and wanted a scape goat.

Yeah, that's about the best terms I've ever heard about Gingrich's forced removal from Speaker.

Seriously, Bipartisan support against the speaker dude. That's unprecedented, and will never happen again.

Toyota vehicles now have the ability to give consent and are considered a legal entity in the court of law?
