If the "investigation " were to go on for another week, there would be no nomination, which is obviously the point of this theatrical bullshit in the first place.
It also doesn't fall within the FBIs wheelhouse, and is a few decades past the statute of limitations.
That being said, this isn't a criminal investigation, but a fucked up job interview.
I'm looking forward to hearing what all parties have to say.

Again, Difi held onto this accusation since July. Ford "asked" to be anonymous, and Difi sat on it until it was of use--an FBI investigation could have been ordered months ago.
Just before Ford's name/details were leaked (a common difi move), she suddenly lawyered-up with a socialist, #nevertrump, friend of Clinton -- because she was told in advance that her name was about to become public in order to derail the process (or that was always part of the plan).
Ford's collaborating witnesses all said shes' full of ****.
Ford then stalled the process for another week or so, claiming she was afraid to fly -- but then finally testified she flies all the time for work and pleasure.
yes, an FBI could clear this up easily-- in favor of the judge--but again, that's not the point. Difi wants to delay the process as long as possible, win the midterms in Nov, delay any SC nom indefinitely, and bets on winning in 2020.
The left has used this "brave" and "courageous" "victim" for political fodder and we are supposed to be impressed? The left doesn't care about women or victims, the left cares about political power through any means necessary -- even if that means delegitimizing and victimizing useful victims.
The FBI has important things to do, like investigating new allegations against a judge who WILL BE APPOINTED FOR LIFE. if the FBI didn't know what to be looking for in the previous investigations, how would they have found this?
tinfoil hats.
tinfoil hats.
My mother works for the Federal District Attorney's Office in Oklahoma, she has clearance due to the nature of her work. Her background check just to work in the building with the attorneys took FIVE MONTHS. They interviewed family members, old boyfriends and high school/college friends, etc.
What do you think an FBI background check is, the credit check/arrest record check like to get a job as an asst manager at Arby's?

I watched this thing on the news the other night where Joe Biden was going on about how there can only be questions and comments about his professional career as a judge. Not anything based on personal life and what not. Unfortunately I fell asleep and didn't see it all.
I really have no idea what is even happening here.

The Ford allegations about Kav were known, but never brought up, during the hearing were he was being questioned by senators to determine his suitability to the appointment. That was weeks before the scheduled vote. The libs sat on it, only to spring it at the last minute (right before the actual vote) as a delay tactic. If they truly wanted an FBI investigation, they could have asked back when there was still PLENTY of time to do it. It could have been completed and allowed a vote within the existing scheduled time frame. More likely than not, they knew an investigation would turn up nothing actionable, so as a hedge to the bet that that might be the case, they instead played the card (rather brilliantly I might add) the best way possible.
It is such complete bullshit that everyone is calling for the investigation now. If you ask me, given the timetable of their handling of the Ford allegation, they forfeited the right to any investigation. If people want to be pissed about no FBI investigation, call up Difi and take her to task for not asking for it within the proper context of the confirmation hearings. She is the one to blame for depriving the public of a "full investigation". Any pissing about it now is just sour grapes that their little gambit didn't pay off.

Basically, snowflakes are upset that a guy who is being interviewed for a job hasn't been publicly drawn and quartered despite the fact that someone made a vague allegation against him, and ***** are upset that he hasn't already gotten the job.
The rest of us are just watching the whole thing with a combination of utter boredom and wry amusement.

They [FBI] already investigated him. So I dunno why people keep calling for another one outside the scope of their duties/jurisdiction...
Oh I know, it was the more, his absolutely reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee suggestion that the FBI wouldn't know how to dig up dirt unless they were told where to find it.

they dont investigate back 40 years ago. Pretty much everyone in my area has a clearance of some sort by some agency or another -- they are looking for counter intelligence flags (i.e., contact with foreign nationals) or blackmail targets (e.g., in debt, bad divorce, received large sums of money) from the past ~12 years IIRC. They are not looking into unfounded claims from 40 years ago that were made hidden to them during the course of their investigation.
Caving to the silly demand for another FBI investigation into the rape accusation from 500 years ago, is pathetic and playing right into the democrat's hands.
also shows you why Flake was voted out of office...
this just buys the democrats another week to get some Soros money and buy another accuser.

This just in:
In light of the call for a 1 week FBI investigation to now actually take place, DiFi is already posturing her inevitable NO vote regardless of it's outcome, stating of his testimony yesterday: "This was not someone who reflected an impartial temperament or the fairness and even-handedness one would see in a judge, this was someone who was aggressive and belligerent,"
What complete and utterly unmitigated audacity. **** HER! I guess righteous indignation only counts if you're a liberal.
