It is kind of a a weird situation. Chicago is completely surrounded by the Midwest in much the same way that West Berlin was completely surrounded by East Germany during most of the cold-war era. Illinois is not really something that we're a part of, but unless you're flying into / out of ORD or MDW, it's something you have to drive through if you're entering or leaving the civilized zone.

In my admittedly limited experience, Austin, TX is in a vaguely similar situation. It's not totally analagous since Austin is surrounded by absolutely nothing, whereas Chicago is surrounded by obesity and low income, but it's the same sort of shock when you go outside the boundary.

Kind of, and kind of not...

I grew up in Charlotte County, FL. Gulf coast, between Tampa and Ft. Myers.

Even in Tampa (market #11, which is the largest DMA in Florida), you're still surrounded by Florida Man everywhere you go, reminding you where you are.

I believe that you may be misinterpreting the facts of the situation. All available evidence suggests that Hillary is merely pro-Hillary / anti-Trump. The lives of the electorate, and the fates of their non-person embryos, are not relevant.

At least we're not in Alabama.

I'm always a bit envious when I hear people talk about how they're able to choose where they want to live, rather than having their location dictated to them by way of scarce career opportunities.

In other words, I wouldn't have voluntarily chosen to live in Chicago if all else were equal.

Also, doesn't most of the methane come out of the front of the cow?

The Washington Post, delivering the news that matters:

Chrissy Teigen brought gravy through TSA and exposed a weird loophole

On a serious note, more news from Alabama:
A 27-year-old Alabama woman was indicted by a grand jury Wednesday in the shooting death of her unborn child, even though, police say, another woman pulled the trigger.

The moment quickly became a flash point for abortion rights advocates as an example of restrictive abortion laws in Alabama criminalizing actions that may endanger a fetus.
Marshae Jones of Birmingham was five months pregnant on Dec. 4 when an argument broke out between her and another woman outside a Dollar General, AL.com reported. The fight, which police said was over the fetus’s father, led 23-year-old Ebony Jemison to shoot Jones in the stomach. The mother survived the shooting, but it resulted in a miscarriage.

Jemison was charged with manslaughter, but a grand jury failed to indict her, and the charge was dismissed, according to AL.com. At the time, police alleged that Jones started the argument and that Jemison shot Jones in self-defense. Pleasant Grove police Lt. Danny Reid told the outlet a grand jury would consider charges for the mother as well.

Everybody got that? A lady gets shot in the stomach, and the person who shot her is NOT indicted, however the lady who got shot IS indicted for manslaughter, based on the fact that her fetus died as a result of her being shot.

Meanwhile, all we've done lately in Illinois is make marijuana completely, 100% legal.

Go 'Bama!

TSA confiscated my jar of gravy from Paula Dean with i visted her in savannah a few years ago.

and when they relaxed the knife policy they still took my 2.5" wallet blade, despite the law and my complaints.

Yet more evidence to support the theory that Braineack and Chrissy Teigen are not the same person.

They're too busy deflecting criticism about their attempts to transform the US into a theocracy.

Also:
This whole abortion illegalization thing is the biggest dumb **** move I have ever seen from a political party. It is so bad I really think it has been secretly funded by the left. It is an anti Liberty move that will rightfully see huge backlash in the polls the next go-round.
