The Chilling Stars: A New Theory of Climate Change

To me it seemed to be the best theory to fit the actual global warming data, including the recent cooling (2001-on). It just needed ~5 years and a couple million Euros for an experiment to be conducted a few miles underground at CERN in Switzerland.

Well, the results are out, and his theory is confirmed.

In a nutshell:
The universe's cosmic ray flux seeds low level clouds, in the same way that subatomic particles in a cloud chamber leave vapor trails. The sun's magnetic field waxes and wanes and modulates the amount of cosmic rays reaching the earth's surface and thus modulates cloud formation. So the sun causes global warming and cooling.
