Netflix to change policy: Bend over you are about to get double charged
So netflix as of today has changed its policy. They will charge you 7.99 a month for a streaming only subscription. Plus their lowest dvd (one at a time) will be 7.99.
So at minimum for DVD and streaming you are now 15.98 Vs. the 10 you are paying now if you are on that same service. So in less than a year they have gone from having new release on dvd to holding them for a month, raising their fees by $2, to now charging for streaming (on a shitty selection. Only thing worth streaming are old TV shows I missed when I was younger) and charging for DVD.

any other options? My GF and I dont go out much (unless to like hike, or be out in nature) so we have gotten a lot of mileage out of NF, but I do not like the direction they seem to be going in. What are other options besides finding what I want "online".
How good is hulu? I know its mostly TV shows?

I guess the only reason I'm still with them is the streaming to the xbox. Plus I dont have to wait for a torrent to finish to stream it to my xbox.
TopGear doesnt matter as I have every episode (including this past Sundays) for the last 8~9 Seasons on my HDD. I need to see how much Xbox charges per movie. Might be cheaper for me.
If they started having new releases on streaming I wouldn't care.

Hulu streams to your xbox, along with both netflix and hulu having iphone apps. When I start running out of netflix shows to watch at work (currently watching ~2-3 episodes of top gear a night), I'll start looking at Hulu.

I only stream. I'm not waiting days for a movie that I might not want to see by the time it arrives. I'm very spontaneous when it comes to movie watching. Plus 90% of my NetFlix usage is TV and documentaries. Even at double the monthly cost, I would hardly call that being raped. Still awesome value for what you get.

But my question is, can you pay for streaming only?
