Probably about to call me a raciest.

OR

ITT: Racists attack Braineack and shoot dog with [/strike=]reasonable, rational thinking[/strike] racism.

I couldn't decide which to go with but somebody should defiantly change the title of this thread to one of the two.

Either way Brain is a trololol and should barrow one of jasons cool tinfoil hats.

I'd have shot the dog too, then the owner. Because racist gun owner.

PS. I hate it when threads get going and I post something I believe to be a whitey and then the thread doesn't do anything.

I'm not trolling. I just have a higher set a moral foundation and a better grasp of the constitution than you do.

I hopped in thinking they just walked up to a car an opened fire. Nope. Cops did what any should. Didn't over react at first sign of dog. Tried to restrain. Fail. Dog gets threatening and cops neutralize. I feel terrible for the dog. Not so much for the owner. Having been a cop before I think I can say people that act like him make the job a pain. May not have been doing anything blatantly illegal, but annoying and if all hell breaks lose at whatever was going on in the area the cops could be liable for him being a dumbass and getting hurt. If the owner was responsible he'd know his dog would want out to protect him. Mine would try chewing the door off to help me and she's a sweet heart.

Morality is subjective brosif.
I understand he wasn't doing anything blatantly illegal, but that doesn't mean that his actions don't have consequences, ie, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Before the actual crime scene is secure, in the first video, you can see that his loud music and actions draw attention from the officers...the officers that have guns drawn, prone behind their vehicles, barking orders at a house over a megaphone while observing suspects walk out of the house with their hands in the air. Everyone except for the idiot with the dead dog knows that this is NOT the time to crank up your music, pull out your cellphone camera, and pace the edge of the scene with a Rottweiler.

While this guy's intent was clearly to antagonize the police officers, I don't believe he deserved the outcome. Cops should have cuffed him up, put him in a squad car, give him a pep talk and let him go after the real scene is completely under control. At the very most, charge him with obstruction for being a pain in the *** and deterring attention from the threat of the actual crime scene.

Is it just me, or is the same officer that was most agitated by the dog in the first video the same officer that eventually kills it?

Non-lethal force works:

that's so ingorant. If these dog owners would just keep their dogs caged, inside, and never themselves go outside, officiers wouldnt have to play judge and jury and assassinate them legally at will.

I don't see anything wrong with the officers' response. If my life is in danger, I'm going to defend myself.

his life wasn't in danger; if it ever was it was because he injected himself in that situation (i.e., by reaching for the dog and misinterpreting a puppy's actions).

I think the officer's life was in about as much danger as if a very large well built man had thrown a punch at him. People usually don't get shot for using their fists unless the officer is alone. This officer had two other officers right behind him that could have aided him in the event the dog overpowered him. Dogs teeth are not the equivalent of wolverine's (the x-men character not the animal) claws. Dogs don't one shot kill you unless you lean your head back and smear steak juice all over your wind pipe while leaning down in its face.

+1... the dog wasnt acting vicious at all, and he had other guys who could help... he had his pistol drawn on the dog long before the dog got a little upset. if a cop had their pistol drawn on me every time i got pulled over for a terrible crime, such as running a red light, i suppose i would deserve to get shot too........
so lame...

"I promise that I won't attack you, even though I've already shown clear evidence of my potential, willingness, and ability to do so..."

Oh wait, What I really mean is "Bark, Bark!!!"

I'm glad that the video proved that the dog wasn't carrying a life-threatening fluid-borne pathogen.

"Allow me to *harmlessly* bite you just once through the skin, please, but don't shoot me, I promise that I'm not carrying a disease that might have serious consequences to you..."

Er...I mean...."Woof!"

Deputy Sheriff Robert Britton succumbed to injuries sustained four days earlier when he was attacked by an injured cow while directing traffic around the animal.

He had responded to the scene after a vehicle struck and injured the cow on Farm Road 344. As he directed traffic around the animal it charged him and knocked him into the air. He landed on his head and suffered severe head injuries. The cow continued attacking him until other deputies were able to pull him to safety.
